Johnny Z's new place in the Detroit Metro area (Clinton Twp, MI). I was just doing some low light testing in a great place to hang out for the evening. I must say though, the canon 17-55mm f/2.8 doesn't quite have enough horsepower to work in this environment... looks like I'll need more lens' at f1.8 or faster. On the plus side though, the lensbaby works like a charm... and I think it really adds some nice "interest" if used sparingly/appropriately... I might've overused it last night but it's just too damn fun to take off the camera.

My first attempt with the Canon HF-S11 and the Handy35 V5+ dof adapter. This is all new to me so expect to see some shocking over-exposed shaky footage. And yeah, I need some human subjects but these furry creatures and pot plants will have to do for now! Lens used: Nikon 50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4 and Lensbaby Composer. Edited (crudely) in Sony Vegas and slightly colour graded with Magic Bullet Looks. Music: courtesy of Windows 7 music sample folder! Filmed using a Nikon D90 and a Lensbaby 3G on October 31, 2009. These are the main waterfalls that you see when entering the park. When the water level is lower, you can easily jump across the falls and get to the other side. I usually see a couple of people get close to take a look and then decide it would be better to take a safer route. This is the first time I have used the lensbaby with my camera, so you can see me adjusting the sweet spot and then fine tuning the focus.
