A simple method to explain the basic components of the human brain. This segment focuses on the limbic system, implicated in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The Hand Brain model helps small children understand what Mommy or Daddy are doing in counseling. It also gives children language to discuss the behaviors they may be observing.

A suivre !

First, we see a Limbic® Chair. Then, we see a woman in a pencil skirt walk up to it and getting in effortlessly. Slowly, she starts moving and dancing in the chair as she pleases, eventually settling down to a relaxed, barely moving typing position. More flowing moves are shown from the side as she's moving through space. A brief shot of her hips as she's barely moving: constant, flowing movements of the lower back, hips, and thighs can be observed. Even though she's barely moving at this point, her body is in a constant, natural, walking-like flow, as is her mind.

Each Limbic® Chair is hand made to measure from the finest airplane grade aluminium and carbon fibre. Many other colours and textures are available, both, for the shells, and for the base. Why airplane grade aluminium? By milling each part from a solid piece of aluminium, we can ensure the highest level of quality, longevity, and lightness. Why racecar grade carbon fibre for the shells? We were looking for a material that can last as long as the chair - for a lifetime. The other great thing about carbon fibre is that is cools the body in summer and is comfortable in winter.

LIMBIC is the third virtual 3D immersive sound composition i made in a game-like environement. Here we are on a Second Life simulation on Yuanjiao. The project was finished on January 2011and got the opportunity to be shown 3 month as a multi media installation in Casino Luxembourg forum d'Art contemporain and during 4 days at Festival Futur en Seine in Paris. This video shows the real time walktrough of the experience with the 3d sound sensation. I called the sound technique i used to mapp the 3D sonification in this simulation "Musique Topologique". This technique is especially well suited for experimental soundings and design embedded in gaming environement.

L’exposition dure du 29 janvier au 1er mai 2011, au Casino,Forum d’art contemporain au Grand Duché du Luxembourg   http://www.casino-luxembourg.lu/ ------------------------------------------------------------ LIMBIC is a musical experiment in 3D environnement (Second Life) - the 3D space contains all the sounds of the composition. The avatar becomes the playback head and all his displacement in the 3D space creates the panning and the mixing ... Sound are placed in virtual objects put in the space and are scripted and animated. In this project 200 sounds are in activity creating an immersiv and continiously changing sonic material. A kind of giant sound Rhizome you can walk trough like a poetic game like landscape.
