In these tough economic times, who can afford to send Christmas cards to family and friends? In lieu of the standard card/photo combo, we decided to send this video to those nearest and dearest to our hearts..... plus the internet. :) We hope you enjoy, and here's wishing you an old fashioned Christmas.

My first full blown lip-dubbing clip. We had a perfect day in New York City. Hope you enjoy this clip as much as I do. (3:43min) Music: "Shiny Happy People" by REM Special thanks to Jakob for his lip-dubbing skillz. Jim and Marilee for shooting clips. My wife, the love of my life. Also, thanks to The Phantom, Howard McGillin. Go see The Phantom of the Opera. Everything was shot on Jan 6, 2007. Edited Jan 23. Just noticed that I joined Vimeo Jan 23, 2006. I've come a long way in a year. Jim's comments on our trip: http://community.myfoxboston.com/blogs/captainseapig/2007/01/11/Narcalepsy_in_New_York_No_Way

"Every moment red letter" is the most desperate rhyme I can think of in popular music.

I walked around with a song playing in my headphones, and recorded myself singing. When I got home I opened it in iMovie and added an MP3 of the actual song, and synchronized it with my video. Is there a name for this? If not, I suggest "lip dubbing". Music by Apes & Androids http://apesandandroids.com Next time I want to walk to synchronize my steps with the beat.

I was on the train from Providence to NYC after visiting Eric. I sat next to a Parson's girl named Carolyn (spelling?). She let me look through her iPod and I tried to persuade her to do lip dubbing with me, but she sternly refused, even when I said "come on, it'll be fun!" I was pretty obsessed with Crash Test Dummies in high school, so I was overjoyed when I found God Shuffled His Feet on there (she also had A Worm's Life). As a challenge, I didn't review the song; I just hit play and went for it. I think I did pretty well, despite a couple of flubs.

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
