Produced at the beginning of 2011 for Greenpeace East Asia, this beautifully-shot film highlights the plight of the fishermen of Taicang on the Yangtze River. Illegal toxic waste released into the river by the factories on its banks is turning the Yangtze into a graveyard, making the existence of the fishermen all but impossible. I produced this film, which was shot and edited by Li Jisong.

This documentary short by Greenpeace East Asia was made in April 2009. It highlights the dangerous overuse of pesticides by Chinese farmers. Apart from the opening a closing sequences, all the footage used in this video was shot on location in East China's Shandong Province. The dying chicks scene proved controversial, because it was thought to have been staged. However, everything shown is real. As Greenpeace East Asia's then video producer, I produced and scripted this film. It was shot and edited by Zhang Jing.

Organized by Greenpeace East Asia ahead of the Copenhagen Climate Summit in 2009, this stunning event highlights unprecedented glacial melt on the Tibetan Plateau, source of Asia's great rivers. Water was collected from the headwaters of three of these rivers to become part of 100 life-size ice sculptures of children, which were left out to melt in the hot summer sun of Beijing. The melting was broadcast live over the Internet, an event in itself. This video brings together some of the footage taken during the day.

This video was made for Greenpeace East Asia ahead of the 2009 Copenhagen Climate Summit. It was shown in Copenhagen during the summit on the big screen inside Greenpeace's Climate Rescue Station. The culmination of a two-week project to collect messages from Chinese people for the summit delegates, I produced and edited this video using footage from Greenpeace's large video library. Many of the messages were sent to Greenpeace over the Internet. Others were collected by Greenpeace East Asia's Climate Heroes, two young people who were sent to Copenhagen to join other activists in calling on governments to act on climate change.
