ENG Diego is 29 years old, he comes from Brescia and he lives in Siena. He's on top on everything he does: painting, writing, direction. We cannot exhibit him in person, so we decide to show his works. We're only in it for the money (1968) is the title of one of Frank Zappa and the Mothers most iconoclastic albums. This amazingly creative musician didn't loose the occasion to be sarcastic with some of the most hypocrite aspects of Sixties american culture. Many reflections and discussions were already made about consumerism, massive spreading of dopes and manipulation of protest movements. The album title refers directly to the Beatles, who realized Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band (1967)following some popular flower power culture trends only for gaining success and earnings. It has to be said that Zappa itself did the same thing, but only to have a broader audience and media attention. All these things happened 46 years ago, when pop culture was at its best. That period has been hugely idealized and mystified; nevertheless, it can be considered not so different from nowadays: people who have (or had) a job use their power against people who will never get it; the poors exploitment continues to grant privileges and wealthy to the upper classes. Diego Perucci is clearly inspired by American Op Art. The precise style and the repeted geometries are used toghether with psychedelic and fantastic elements, realizing a perfect mix of dreams and rationality. In his ink artworks, the lack of colours makes us feel the artwork skeleton, which has been realized after a deep spatial reflection. The void is one of the primary elements in Diego Perucci artworks, so deeply influenced by the Sixties art. We're only in it for the money. Which money? Underground art is hard to sell; nevertheless, houses host frequently on their walls many banal paintings, or worse, many lo-fi prints of famous paintings, which cost is substantially higher of an underground artist works. Can underground art be an economic resource and a gratification for artists? Of course yes, especially outside the traditional art market who burden them. This exhibition has also a metaphoric, deeper meaning: profit or not, art stands and resists. That's why the title can be read also with an ironical eye: even if you continue to invest in something banal or lacking any esthetical value, we are here, with ours ideas and projects, ready to challenge the sewer wave of triviality. The curator: Sandro Fracasso

"Besos, Lina" es un vídeo que recoge fragmentos de una correspondencia real encontrada en el rastro de Valencia, mantenida entre 1984 y 1990 entre una chica sueca y un chico español, de la cual tan solo tenemos las cartas que ella le envió a él. La primera de las cartas retrata precisamente el instante en que se encontraron por primera vez en un viaje en tren por Europa, y que les llevaría a continuar manteniendo una intensa relación en la distancia. www.naranjayrojo.wix.com/besoslina
