http://cheesycam.com/better-platform-for-camera-sliders/ I was having a lot of balance trouble with a single tripod holding up my slider, so I decided to look for a more stable support. I was looking to buy 2 light stands, which were about $20 each, but then I found this adjustable sawhorse for $38 on ebay. So I decided to go for it. I like being able to fold it up and use it on the ground, which I wouldn't be able to do with 2 light stands on each side. It's nearly the same length as my 1 meter slider. There are many things you can use to secure it. I just used some cheap c-clamps. It also has a handle for carrying on the side, which is nice because it's pretty heavy. Many thanks to Emm over at http://cheesycam.com/ for the inspiration. Canon T2i/550D w/ kit lens.

"Maratea Senza Tempo" ( Timeless Maratea ) is part of a series of video to tell about a hidden side of Italy. Italy is a fascinating country, known for its history and its people, its food and culture. But Italy is also a beautiful peninsula, with a Mediterranean nature that makes it very special. “Timeless Italy” is made up of places considered jewels of the world heritage and protected accordingly. They are places where time seems to come to a standstill and where the hand of man is nonexistent. Places where the rhythms of nature are marked by the rising and setting sun and by the traveling stars. For us, these places are timeless and they endure and we are here to tell you about them. Our project continues by discovering the beauty of Maratea, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in Southern Italy. Our project continues by discovering the beauty of Vulture area, in Southern Italy. Monte Vulture is a rather small and inactive volcano that last erupted about half a million years ago. Here we discovered and filmed two beautiful volcanic crater  lakes, surrounded by thick, green vegetation, we tried to immortalize the beauty of San Fele natural waterfalls and the stars of a wonderful summer sky . -- EN -- Video directed by Francesco Cerruti for Timelapse Showfest 2014 "my Portugal" is a collection of some of my favourites Portuguese locations, not all of course, mainly because I still haven't got time to capture all of them. This is the first collection, more will come. Know Burgau, Ponta da Piedade, Lisboa, São Miguel and Óbidos. It's a short trip throughout these locations from dawn to nightfall, and celebration of the Portuguese independence day (25th of April). The main goal of the video is prevail with photography, an attempt to make the viewer savour the picture and location. Of course some movement is inserted and some hyper lapses (some better than others) as well as some shot made with my DIY slider. The music is made by a friend of mine Gonçalo Martins (link in the bottom) who let me use the music. I ended up buying his album anyway because is well worth it. I was asked by the J Class association to film the J Class sloops racing during the St.Barths Bucket this past winter. This was a historic event for the class as they had not had so many J's race together in decades. A J class yacht is roughly 140 ft long, has a mast height of about 170ft and takes a crew of 30 to push these 150 ton yachts around the track. It was quite a sight to see these boats racing together off St.Barths. A big thank you to the owners of the yachts and the J Class association for hiring me to shoot the event, to Greg from Caribbean Helicopters for his great flying skills and perseverance in getting to St.Barths to enable me to film the action from the air. And to Halsey Fulton, my assistant and editor who is always ready to drive the chase boat, haul the gear, set it up, double check my actions, edit the piece and does it with the best attitude. We chartered a chase boat for two of the four racing days, spent one day filming on board Rainbow (bedankt Chris) and shot from the air on the last and breeziest day of the event. We had great conditions to shoot the event and enjoyed filming the action of such amazing boats sailing in one of the best events anywhere. Looking forward to the 2014 St.Barths Bucket and hoping for a few more J's!
