The Decoders are at it again with another Rotary Connection cover of a cover, the classic known as "Respect" made famous by the likes of Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin. This time, they have enlisted the talents of Oakland based chanteuse Mara Hruby (www.marahruby.com) and the illustrious Van Hunt (www.vanhunt.com). This track will be included on their upcoming full length album release, "Adventures From Paradise: A Tribute To Minnie Riperton" coming out later this year.

Created and curated by Martin Luther McCoy, the Rebel Soul Fest returned as a one night event in Nov. 2012. Headlined by Dead Prez and Martin Luther and supported by Mara Hruby, Casual (Hieroglyphics Crew) and Sellassie, the evening opened with a DJ set from DJ D-Sharp; one of my favorite area DJs. The always CLASSY Yoshi's in San Francisco played host to an evening of soulful music, great people and awesome vibes. I shot this on my iPhone 4s and used the photojojo lens kit. I edited it with FCP.

There is nothing more sacred then the recording process itself, and Mara Hruby invites you into her home to watch her style of recording in The Attic Of Love. This video will share her ups, downs, and true soul through her own way of engineering and vocal arranging.
