NOTE: 1st half hour missing from this video - complete video was taken by East Bay Teaparty Group... the URL will be given when that video is posted on YouTube Thursday, May 30th, 6:30pm - 8:30pm Marin Civic Center Board of Supervisors Chamber 3501 Civic Center Dr, San Rafael Plan Bay Area stands to make significant changes to housing and transit across the Bay Area - favoring and incentivizing cities and counties that plan high density housing around transit - sometimes referred to as "smart growth". The Institute for Leadership Studies at Dominican University is sponsoring a meeting of the minds on this subject, bringing together four leading figures on both sides of the plan. Opposing Plan Bay Area: - Randal O'Toole of the Cato institute, author of "Gridlock". - Thomas Rubin, an Oakland based transportation consultant and former Chief Financial Officer of Southern California Rapid Transit District (1989-1994). Supporting Plan Bay Area: - Steve Kinsey, MTC commissioner and Marin County Supervisor - Mark Luce, Napa County Supervisor and President of the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG). Both hold leadership positions in the two agencies that developed Plan Bay Area. Panelists will speak to the issue of the evening and respond to audience questions. The League of Women Voters and community leader Richard Hall will facilitate audience questions submitted that evening by card. (If you are from Marin or the other North Bay Counties, please try to attend. If you are not from Marin, demand something similar in your county. The public needs to know about this plan.)

Point Reyes National Seashore Marin County, California I finished this little video with Phil Arnot in 1995. It was filmed in Hi8, with a little Sony Handycam. It was edited old school, linear. It was sold in VHS format at the gift shop at the Visitor's Center in Bear Valley, and in various other stores mainly in Inverness. Only a few thousand copies were made, but eventually, the film broke even, barely. It's awkward but well-intentioned, and I had a good time hiking all over the park with Phil Arnot! It's 30 minutes long, so here are some general cue points if you want to skip to a certain section: 00:00 general introduction, lots of pretty pictures 05:00 Miwok Village, Earthquake Trail, Bear Valley Trail 07:10 Lighthouse, whale watching, sea lions 08:20 Great Beach (North & South Beach) 10:25 Abbotts Lagoon 11:00 McClures Beach 11:20 pretty springtime wildflower interlude 12:45 Tamales Point, tule elk 13:30 Pelican Lake, Crystal Lake 13:52 Woodward Valley Loop hike 17:13 Bear Valley Trail to Wildcat Camp 18:30 Wildcat Beach, Sea Cave, Alamere Falls 20:00 Sculptured Beach, Secret Cave 22:00 The “Unknown Coast” (Kehoe to McClures Beach) 25:50 ending, more pretty pictures, credits

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
