Untertitel (CC): Deutsch Subtitle (CC): English (A special thank goes to A. McNeil for her help.) A trip to the Galapagos Islands doesn't have to be the expensive diving live-aboard option. You can see a lot from cheaper land based options and the snorkeling is amazing if you know where to go. We visited an interpretation centre during our time on the Galapagos Islands which described the islands as follows: "A priveleged and incomparable place, a natural mosaic which concentrates an astonishing diversity of life - one of the greatest on earth." This really resonated with us as that is exactly what it is - a truly unique experience that I'm not sure you would find anywhere else in this world! The animals are incredibly friendly and this film aims to highlight the up close encounters we had with the diverse range of animals present in the beautiful Galapagos Islands. Shot on my 5Dmk3, edited in Premiere Pro. Timelapses created in After Effects. The Galápagos Islands (official name: Archipiélago de Galápagos ; other Spanish names: Islas Galápagos) are an archipelago of volcanic islands distributed on either side of the Equator in the Pacific Ocean, 926 km (500 nmi) west of continental Ecuador, of which they are a part. The Galápagos Islands and its surrounding waters form an Ecuadorian province, a national park, and a biological marine reserve. The principal language on the islands is Spanish. The islands are famed for their vast number of endemic species and were studied by Charles Darwin during the voyage of the Beagle. His observations and collections contributed to the inception of Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection.
