Decompression therapy provides a very useful therapy for painful soft tissue conditions. One common source of soft tissue pain is post-surgical wounds. Following surgery the body scars the entire area as a part of the natural healing process. The body choose the type of tissue repair and the extent of the injury calls for rapid cross hatch closure. This type of scarring tends to be random This healing process often traps nerves, lymph fluids are retained as the drainage system is cut, and vascular flows of blood are reduced as a result of being cut as well.. These blockages slow the natural process often resulting in pain. The healing process can be hastened using negative pressure. This principle was first proved in Russian clinical trials where the application of negative pressure cut the time to close the wound by half. This dramatic result prompted a patent race in the US to control this new application. It only decade for the application of sub-atmospheric pressure to become a mainstream therapy in wound healing therapy. The same results are seen in ancient wounds. The medical community does not address these tissue issues because they require time-consuming bodywork, the insurance companies limit coverage leaving the injured person to skip rehabilitation. The result is a lot of people walking around wounded. A little pain here and there. This pain occurs anywhere in the body. Common areas include back, legs, shoulders, neck. and feet.

Decompression massage therapy uses negative pressure to manipulate, palpate, using a process that is the reverse of massage therapy. This reverse massage avoids compression often associated with pain because the therapist is forced to compress the injured soft tissue in order to provide the benefits of tissue manipulation. DMT is a painless deep tissue therapy capable of manipulating large quantities of soft tissue to the maximum degree. This natural soft tissue therapy can extend the tissue, flush out accumulated waste, break adhesions, scar tissue and other tissue blockages that restrict normal tissue function and renewal. The powerful tissue therapy can reduce the pressure on the tissue by one-half an atmosphere.

Scar tissue therapy requires softening the soft tissue. This is a process of breaking up the scared tissue and aiding the body to metabolize it. The therapy can lessen the visual severity of scarring. Removal depends on the severity of the scarring. Underneath the surface scar is the much larger mass of scarred tissue. This mass of scar tissue reduces normal soft tissue function by restricting the flow of fluids, including accumulated waste remove, oxygenation through increasing the supply of fresh blood and stimulating the fibroblasts to stimulate the natural healing process. The combination of stripping, shearing, pumping and pulling may be required to obtain the maximum stimulation to the injured tissue. DMT is also known as negative pressure therapy, reverse massage, subatmospheric therapy and Decompression Massage Therapy

Cathy describes the detoxification process. Manual detoxification is beneficial in normalizing the natural healing process. Sedentary lifestyle, increasingly toxic environment and food supply, pharmaceuticals all are contributing to a toxic load on our body. The accumulation of the toxins can make us sick and slow the healing process. Detoxification is about breaking up tissue blockages that result from chronic muscle constriction, scar tissue from old injuries, adhesions, and other restrictions that lead to the accumulation of waste in the tissue. Negative pressure can be used to lift the tissues, creating space for fluid movement, stretch the fibers breaking tissue adhesions, pump the tissue drawing in blood to previously stagnant soft tissue. Stagnation in water is not healthy inside or outside the body. Fluids must move and be filtered to be clean. Slowing or interrupting this process can result in pain and sickness.
