    Germany has long, cold winters with heavy, grey clouds hanging over it for months, so it is natural that people want to capture and keep every single sun ray they see, forever! We took this appreciation and made it into idea for Das Erste’s Early Summer campaign. Two, sunny, cinematic and poetic ident’s emerged from the creative heads of velvet’s think tank: “Sun Jar” and “Sun Frame”, both celebrating our thirst for that warm, yellow substance, the substantial part of all life: the Sun. So warming, that we want to catch the yellow ball in a treasure jar and capture it’s glow for our frames at home. The eagle, his loyal comrade and faithful spirit, guides him in a thirst race through the desert wasteland, the merciless sun, rain, storm and water. But, where is he rushing to? Supremely concentrated and strongly drawn by a magnet-like force, nothing can stop him to reach his goal: the golden Tecate potion.           This is not just an advertising with a message, but also one about our personal choices. “Brita” , the producer of water filters, wants to remind us of how much sugar is in just one can of soda? Exactly nine. With Matthias Zentner as the director and two master-sugar-cube-sculptors from Nord Ireland: Mark Revels & Brendan Jamison, Brita created a gigantic city in the shape of an human being made completely with real sugar cubes. The exact amount of cubes was 221,314 used in a 3 weeks work, and this is also the exact amount of sugar one person drinks in a lifetime by consuming only one soda can per day! In a step-by-step filming process, clever angles and swaying moves, the city grows and grows, expanding to an almost 10 meter long human silhouette, which was pre-build as a 3D sculpture first, before it became a real sugar-man-city. The whitish pureness in the imminent presence of increasing sugar cubes, the perception of the white evil is stimulated by special thumbnail cameras, stop-trick animation, motion control moves and light animation over an average day spam. With so many people taking water for granted, as it is so simple and, in our society, available everywhere, now there is definitely something to think about. Thus the commercial is more likely build up in the narrative like a PSA, only in the end the mission statement finds its advertising equivalent. Drink more water, filtered by Brita. In juxtaposition to the space – and timeless visual narrative of the human  relation to their cars, which are exposed like installation objects in the nature. This spot is a statement from Nikon to all those who love photography. It is a celebration of the power of images and of those who create them. In honor of the great Nikon's heritage, Matthias Zentner and his US reps Harvest films, made a film about the most memorable moments in life, all captured by Nikon cameras, D800, D600 and Coolpix. Creating a snapshot of short stories using cameras and lenses made by NIKON. Even when slow motion cameras like Phantom flex were used, Nikon lenses were adjusted to the camera system. This story is about the connection between the photographer and his/her visionary way of looking at life’s most incredible moments. No mystery, no fakery, just pure photography. The photography, through the decades, became more than just images. The photography evokes memories and narrates emotions. Nikon’s were built to capture the most impressive moments in the blink of an eye. These days almost anybody can tell a story through the camera and that's what makes this film so exciting. It should inspire the photographer in all of us to capture the beauty of each moment in our lives. The sound approach creates the connection between the moment of the click, when everything else fades away and the capture of the image is complete.
