this is the output of dynamic realtime cut and fx applied by fft-analysis on a quick webcam pan – played yesterday. i dug out an 3 year old jitter patch i made as a sketch for sound/picture relationship and synasthetic controls. you load a sound- and a video-file and play it by filtering the sound to take control of the influence on the picture.

ICARE IN SITU is an adaptation of the myth of Icarus from Ovid's Metamorphoses. It's a multimedia sculptural transcription of this myth, by Thomas Sillard. The Icarus story as an allegory of the various struggles that we must take to survive. How an utopia born a concrete form, the stubborn pursuit of a fixed idea, the realization of a dream, euphoria blinding. This is a kinetic work, plastic, digital and interactive, a dive into the myth, an inner journey, leaving the discovery experience. 3 concepts, 3 installation : the labyrinth, the flight, and the fall 2 mode : strolling, performance night/days it was presented during the european days patrimoine 2012 september 15&16 at Alloue (16) in FRANCE with MAX/MSP/JITTER & ARDUINO

"Nocturnal Metamorphosis" is a collaborative, interactive installation with fellow artist Amanda White (http://amandawhiteart.com/amanda_white/home.html) . Once the viewers are within the range of the sensor, they are transformed into an orb of white light representing their average motion. The moving orb attracts a swarm of digitally rendered moths that follow and circle the light orbs as they move, creating the illusion that the viewers are dancing or interacting with the moths. For this project X-box Kinect is utilized as input devise (sensor) and its incoming data is manipulated through MAX MSP JITTER . The final result is created using Kinect's depth data along with Computer Vision and Boids algorithm. This project plays with the division between the real and the digital and draws a connection between the human experience and other nocturnal organisms or ‘nightlife’ in the urban environment.

http://anita-zk.com/#2139496/DOUBLE-TAKE Double Take is an exploration of the doubling of perception. The extreme precision of the robots movement allows a rigorous examination of the act of perceiving, space, sound and movement in an immersive environment. Double Take maps a virtual cinematic world onto the physical space of the robot lab and casts the robots as light houses, revealing this superimposed reality. A projector mounted to the robot arm sweeps through the space illuminating this virtual world. By morphing and distorting the virtual environment Double Take expands the perception of the space by mapping alternate geometries and multiple environments onto the “real” space of the robot lab. A robots’ eye view live feed video provides a further doubling of or perception within the robots sphere of action. The sound scape uses the movement of the robots as input for a interactive score. A Real Time data flow from the positions of the robots joints, generates sound according to the relationship between them. Sound frequencies increase as the robots become closer to each other, and the modulation varies depending on the speed of the robot.
