The search is on for the future stars of the CG Industry Our 2010 CG Whiz competition is now officially open! We are really excited to see what talent we’re going to unearth this year’s Competition. Open to anyone interested in computer graphics (professionals in CG aren’t eligible); the competition is perfect if you’re looking to break into the Visual Effects industry. We have over £15,000 or $24,000 worth prizes to give out. Students, graduates and hobbyists of all countries and disciplines are invited to enter the competition. The first prize is a 12-week VFX course in our UK or US Academy plus a one-month placement at The Mill. Runners up will get a selection of mentored and online courses plus subscriptions to 3D Artist magazine. To enter, you just need to follow two simple steps. Step 1: upload your showreel (or set of stills compiled into a video) to this group. Remember to label your entry clearly with a title and your name. Step 2: send your contact details (including full name, location, show reel title, email address and telephone number) to CGWhiz@escapestudios.com. This will enable us to contact you should you be one of the lucky winners. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors: The Mill, 3D Artist and CG Society.
