A region that has one of the oldest traditions in winemaking and that due to many circumstances is facing a hard time to overcome this situation. Concentrating in this small town and it’s farmers who own small acres of land and produce wine to sell it to the local cooperative or by themselves. A strange balance in a microcosm where private winemakers and cooperative winemaking still exists. The documentary will show how a town that struggles not to lose their tradition, manages to live within the wine making community worldwide, adapt to this new era and at the same time, let their own sons decide on their future. “Un petit bout de terre” is a detailed portrait of a situation that is affecting today this family, this village, this industry, and this region. But represents many others. An awareness call on the impact of the globalized world.
