    From watching how our brains function when we think about eating a cookie, to tracing how our metabolism changes after we’ve eaten the treat, understanding the biochemistry behind human metabolism has been a key focus of the Sherry-Malloy research team since the collaborators met at UT Southwestern in 1983. Dean Sherry, Ph.D., Director of the Advanced Imaging Research Center and Professor of Radiology, and Craig Malloy, M.D., Medical Director of the facility and Professor of Internal Medicine and Radiology, discuss their use of MRI to visualize metabolic processes in the President’s Lecture on September 21, 2010.
