The Peaceful Warriors Project ("PWP") were in concert at the park at Campus Martius, alongside the majestic Michigan Soldiers and Sailors Monument. The Peaceful Warriors are a six-member jazz band celebrating past and present musicians who proudly served in the American Military. To kick off Flag Week Detroit 2014, PWP honored the families of the Michigan Fallen Heroes whom the statue in Campus Martius commemorates, and Brigadier General Mike Stone presented three such families with beautiful, framed artist's portraits of their fallen loved ones. This exciting community event provided attendees with miniature American and Michigan Flags in honor of the Michigan Army National Guard Fallen Soldiers. PWP features saxophonist Allan Barnes, a supremely gifted musical composer who himself proudly served America in the Vietnam conflict. Allan remembers honing his own musical skills while serving this Country, and reminds us, "Jazz is patriotic. The Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America were both written by men who served in the US military". To continue this tradition, Allan, along with Vietnam Veteran John Malone, has written Bringing Home The Colors, a stirring Flag Day Anthem which premiered at the outdoor musical extravaganza. PWP features band leaders Rayse Biggs on Trumpet, Cliff Monear on Piano, Gayelynn McKinney on Drums, Nick Calandro on Bass and the enchanting Vocals of Sunny Wilkinson. The group derives its name from a song written in tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by jazz advocate Billy Taylor. PWP's music radiates the bright light of jazz far beyond the boundaries of darkened clubs, to entertain every member of the family while commemorating musical military veterans such as jazz greats Henry Mancini, Dave Brubeck, John Coltrane and Detroit's own Donald Byrd, Larry Nozero, Harold Washington and Sir Roland Hanna. The show was hosted by actress Bever-leigh Banfield. Congressman John Conyers -- an Army veteran who served our country from 1950-1954 and now represents the 13th District of Michigan -- spoke to the crowd of music fans at the Peaceful Warriors Project Concert at Campus Martius Park Our brave men and women of the American armed services contribute to our culture long after their tours of duty end.

For the Idaho Lottery's 2011 Million Dollar Fall Raffle, we chose to embrace the game's strongest visual elements, the iconic orange ticket logo and the color orange itself. The first round of billboards and print ads were flooded with the color orange and the simple question "Seeing Orange?" These were followed by a set of television spots that played with the color orange as an key visual and hopes of winning the big jackpot. As the campaign progressed digital billboards and online banners were used to present urgency-based messages like “Hurry! Going Fast” and more specific info for players like the percentage of tickets sold and the number of days left until the final draw.

In the fall of 2011 WinCo Foods hired DaviesMoore to come up with an advertising campaign to help launch new stores, initially in the Los Angeles area. As the “Supermarket low price leader” WinCo’s primary consumer benefit is their ability to offer significantly lower prices than their competitors on identical products throughout the store. We felt that if customers actually knew how low prices were at WinCo, shopping there would be an easy choice. With this in mind we developed the “Prices so Low” campaign. It is a smart, sophisticated campaign that reflects the smart shopper who loves WinCo.
