This video was created to tell customers the story about Ground Up Builders (a locally owned foundation repair company). I completed this video from concert to completion. I started by interviewing the owners and asking them simple questions of how they started their company. From there, I scripted that into a storyboard, then Everything was shot at multiple locations throughout Middle Tn. Everything was shot using Black Magic Pocket Cinema cameras. The audio was a sony Lapel mic through a tascam dr60d. Everything was completed using adobe premiere. Editing, color grading/correction and sharpening. Various native M43 lenses were used as well as some legacy glass. DISCLAIMER: Even though I produced, shot and edited this video, I do not own the rights. This was a work for hire. This video is intended for portfolio purposes only.

Dynamic Range Stretch - +2 has more noise in it, but I think it adds something to it. It's more organic. +1 was fine. After the last couple days I'm starting to realize that it's better to find a good exposure through the viewfinder or LCD and then bring it down a touch. Also used the waveform a bit and it was handy. I don't really know how to use it, but I tried to keep everything kind of in the middle. I think using the DRS puts some grain on the footage which is pretty consistent with film. Gives it some life. We used the Nikon 50mm 1.4 with the Voigtlander Nikon-to-4/3's adapter. Had the aperture at 2.8 because I found 1.4 to be soft. ISO 200 and used ND 3 on the camera. Those built in ND's are very handy.

I always like Japanese Maples, but for some reason, I'm finding them particularly enchanting this year. I couldn't resist capturing a few seconds of the luminous samaras this evening after work. (Olympus E-PL2 with 17mm f2.8 lens)
