This is part 3/3 of my video tutorial on creating 3D neurons in culture as seen through a light microscope. The neuron will be created in Maya 2014 and touched up in After Effects CS6. Part 1 walks you through modeling a basic neuron mesh (cell body, axon, and dendrites) using a reference image and simple extruding tools in Maya 2014. You can choose your reference image from the web or from http://neuromorpho.org. https://vimeo.com/97382516 Part 2 gives an introduction to Paint Effects in Maya and shows how this can be used to add dendritic spines -- tiny processes along the dendrites. https://vimeo.com/97382518 Part 3 shows you how to achieve an in vitro cell culture look in After Effects using simple effects and layer styles.

                      What are Tags?

                      Tags
