I've know Corey since he was probably 13 and less than 4 feet tall (2000 era). He was that little dude at the roller rink (smalltown, WI) that skated as good as the big boys and always won at the Limbo. I remember that him and I would do backflips on the launch ramp they had there so that we could get free soda pops from the DJ (and win the hearts of all the teenage ladies!). Several years later Corey took a break from skating, he didn't strap the blades up for nearly 4-5 years. He spent that time focusing on music and his amazing guitar skills. It wasn't until 2009 that he refound his love for blading, moved to Minneapolis and started showing everyone what he was really capapble of. I've got to be honest, I've been blown away by how much he's progressed since the rink days. Outside of MN, chances are you have never heard of Corey. If you had the chance to see The Hooligan Project you would have seen him throwing down some impressive gaps and technical grinds, all with a clean, solid style. He's in a good place now. He's been motivated to blade often with people like Jeph Howard and Michael Garlinghouse and has the exposure potential from filmers Blake Cohen, Dan Knapmiller and photographer John Haynes. I had the opportunity to catch up with Corey for a few days this past summer and about half of these clips are from those few days. The other half of the clips were donated by Knappy and Cohen. It's my hope that Corey will continue to be motivated to keep his blades on and get more exposure that he deserves. I can't say how awesome it is to see an old friend progress as much as he has, and more importantly, for making rollerblading look so clean, fun, and effortless. Stay up brother! filmers: Eric Milliren, Dan Knappmiller, Blake Cohen editor: Eric Milliren song: Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears - I'm gonna leave you

After seeing a picture of this waterfall for the first time, I was instantly intrigued. At the end of a long, but awesome Colorado trip, I was able to gather up the motivation to drive to Minneapolis, where this waterfall sits in the middle of the city. While it is very high profile and urban, tons of people, and in the very center of the general public, there is something strangely beautiful about this drop. It is complex, twisting, and questionable depth of landing, and has much more to it than just kayaking. A chain was put across the creek just above the lip that was almost a factor that prevented my decision to run it. At the last second, a log pinned against the chain, propping it up enough to get under in the river right eddy, and leaving no choice but to make a scramble ferry back to the left. After three intense days of thinking and scouting, it finally all came together. Very thankful for the outcome, and to wrap the first half of Summer up with a good run in an amazing place. A huge thanks to the safety team that showed up to help and support. While many people watching probably think we are crazy, the real danger in life is hiding in the crowd, and not trying. Do your thing. Call it what you want, but this is what we do, and this is the story of Minnehaha Falls. Song: Beautiful, Eminem

Last summer I focused on filming the beauty of nature and the landscapes around me while road tripping and exploring the country. This summer I decided to focus on my friends and the beauty of our relationships that tie us together. We find ourselves "post college" (for those of us who could afford it) a stage in life where we've been told to get to, but not really given further instructions once we've gotten here. Still yearning for freedom and exploration, still denying age and complacency, still wondering at the mysteries presented with earnest curiosity, still expressing our creative energies through music, acting, and dance. We seek to stay youthful while still maintaining our responsibilities to live a sustainable life for our loved ones, and ourselves. Here's to moving forward without ever "growing up".
