Iris was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when she was 24 years old. Daily swimming is helping her manage the emotional and physical impact of the disease. The highlight of the shoot was when I put my cameraman in the lift so we could fake a dolly shot of Iris doing laps. I shot the underwater video with a GoPro and barbell to help me stay on the bottom of the pool. Check out www.WhyISwim.org for more on the MSAA's program to promote swimming for people with MS.

Mary can do things in the water she can't do on land - like dance and walk a straight line. Going to her water aerobics classes has made her stronger and also given her great friends, a critical part of taking care of yourself when you have Multiple Sclerosis. Go to www.WhyISwim.org to learn more about the MSAA's program to promote aquatic exercise for people with MS.

If there's one thing we've learned so far about Missy Franklin's experience at Cal, it's that winning four gold medals doesn't necessarily mean you're going to ace your Psychology midterm. http://calbears.com
