CSA Booster. The purpose of the CSA Booster is to increase the development, marketing and adoption of Climate Smart Agriculture technologies in Europe. It aims to realise this by filling the gap between the demand for technological climate solutions in agricultural practice, and the offer of these CSA technologies now and in the future. There are many technologies available or in development, but these technologies are not yet applied to their potential extent in agricultural practice. This is where the CSA Booster can provide its services. Climate Smart AgriculturalTechnologies (hardware, software, org-ware) have a positive impact on agriculture's productivity and economic growth, increase the resilience of human and natural systems to climatic change (adaptation), and/or support climate change mitigation. The CSA-Booster focusses on CSA technologies for food and fodder production in Europe. However, in the assessment of the technologies, and in the development of the business models, other segments of the value chain will be considered as well. CSA-Booster works in test regions in The Netherlands, France, Italy and Switzerland, and connects technology providers in these regions to investors.
