1. Brands Valley

Inspired by the brilliant game “Monument Valley”, thought of playing around with some well-known brands acting as the main level shape. Practicing isometric drawing & animating, finding solutions based on specific shapes and curves; figuring out ways to build a level with reasonable solutions. Full project on www.behance.net/

I had two days and half to visit Jerome,Monument Valley, Horseshoe Bend,Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon. Unfortunately, I didn't had enough time to get more footage that allowed me to produce a better sequence, but I still want to share with you, a few minutes of my weekend adventure in Arizona and Utah. Amazing for me was, that everything that I saw, where no more than 5 minutes from the car!

This was shot during the Race Across the West. The team had just left Timestation 11 in Kayenta, AZ and headed towards the Mexican hat. What we didn't knew was that this was road was about to lead us through Monument Valley. Highly known for it's beautiful shaped red rocks. As we left the timestation it was about 3 at night so everything was pitch dark. As Eva fought her way on it started to lighten up in the horizon. At first glance we all individually thought this was "just" some other small rocks as we have seen the previous 2 days going from Oceanside, CA to Kayenta AZ. The landscape had changed its shapes a lot of times. But as the horizon slowly got brighter it revealed some black giants silhouetted by the light, that slowly got bigger and bigger as we got closer. Until then the team had all had their problems trying staying awake during the night. This was after all night 3 in the race. As we realised this what we where right in the middle of, we all forgot our problems. I was lucky enough to have a fresh charged Gopro and a suction cup for the roof which immediately was set for recording. At 0:41 we stopped for breakfast for Eva. A shame that we placed Eva at the backside of the car in her chair. Would have been cool to see her too as the sun were rising over the horizon. Here I got a chance to get out of the car and shoot some pictures of the beautiful landscape. Thats me you can see running around in the yellow hi-vis vest. I chose the music as it kind of explains the psychedelic part of the race. Racing in the dark Staying focused Looong straight roads Going on for days with minimal amount of sleep Us as a crew staying close behind her as protection in the nights The Race: The Race Across the West is a part of the Race Across America also called RAAM. The RAW riders race among the RAAM riders from Oceanside, CA to Durango, CO. The riders have 90 hours total to complete 1386 km on a pedal powered bicycle. This year was extra hard due to up to 50 degress celcius in the desert. The Team: Eva Synnestvedt Hansen rode solo, and completed the 1386 km in 76 hours and finished as the fastest woman. The Team was called ABC Endurance and had number R116. To see more about the team on her facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EvaSynnestvedtHansen Music The number seen in the in the end of the video is not correct. The correct is: Maxime Miville - Dont Ask (Max Cooper Remix)

I'm a veteran magazine shooter, and have done stills all my life, but the quality of 4K time-lapse drew me to shoot these clips over the past year while on shoots around the American West and New Zealand. Still learning, so I value your comments and criticism. In the end this is a quest for beauty... Shot with the Pentax K-3 by Kerrick James

A visual journey through some of the most brilliant landscape the Western United States has to offer. Shot over a 3 week road trip from Marfa, Texas to Yosemite Valley, California in November 2014. Having spent a large part of the last few years traveling outside of the US, I felt that I had neglected to see some of the amazing sites in my home country. Many of the places in this film had been on my list to visit for a long time and so I decided to take a trip and check them off. I hope this film inspires you to do the same. This video is a collection of video clips collected while travelling. A full list of locations is available at the end of the video. As I reflected on the fantastic places I had been, and the wonderful people I have met, the words just seemed to flow easily. I hope you enjoy it.
