Gewoon Gaaf laat ouder en kind inzien wat hun eigen invloed is op het ontstaan en vooral het voorkomen van cariës. Wie goed zijn tanden poetst en er een verstandig consumptiepatroon op nahoudt, kan zijn gebit gewoon gaaf houden. Tandartsen, mondhygiënisten en (preventie)assistenten zetten zich in de zelfzorg van ouder en kind te stimuleren. Deze film toont een praktijkimpressie van een tandarts die mee deed aan het Gewoon Gaaf-onderzoek van dr. Erik Vermaire. Deze film is bedoeld om mondzorgverleners te inspireren die de Gewoon Gaaf-methode willen uitvoeren. Aangegeven wordt welke mondzorgverlener belast kan zijn met de stappen van de Gewoon Gaaf-methode. De preventie-assistent kan een belangrijk deel van het Gewoon-Gaaf gesprek voor zijn/haar rekening nemen. In deze film wordt voorgelicht, zoals is uitgevoerd in het onderzoek waarop dr.
