1. BIKES - Crashing into love

    from Raoul Paulet Added 275K 6,555 142

A metaphorical short film about bikes, movement, freedom and love. Every day mind tries to get the better of heart. Space and time have always existed and we can’t stop them. Throught the movement we discover ourself. Speed is like curiosity. A crash between two bodies. To remember us that we are not alone. The video has been realised between Montréal and London. It combines 2d and 3d motion graphics and video footages. Main tools: Adobe AI, PS, AE; Apple FCP; Maxon C4D; Sony Ex1-Cam. (Watch it fullscreen and turn the volume up! ;-) )

I drift, half awake, half asleep. Moving through the city I recall but have never been to. "Architecture is the simplest means of articulating time and space, of modulating reality, of engendering dreams" Ivan Chtcheglov This film was made using a digital stills camera to create a stop motion animation. This video is an evolution of an earlier work/technique called Still Moving http://www.vimeo.com/3619284 I think the shot of the Barbican tower is my favourite (its the shot shown in the thumbnail) This was shot hand held no motion control rigs etc.

A time-travelling trip back through one happy man's life. The brief was to show how movement was key to his happiest moments, so we commissioned model-making virtuosos Anarchy to create a set of moving animatronic puppets that can run, jump and throw babies in real time. -- Film credits: Director: Johnny Kelly Production Company: Nexus ECD: Chris O’Reilly Executive Producers: Luke Youngman, Julia Parfitt Producer: Jo Bierton Project Manager: Zoe Verrier-Stunt, Fernanda Garcia Lopez Project Lead / Cg Supervisor: Mark Davies VFX Supervision: Dave Walker Designer: Jack Cunningham Character design: Jack Cunningham & Bjørn-Erik Aschim 3D previs: Patrick Tomasini, Joe Sparrow, Florian Caspar Client: Coca-Cola Agency: The Cyranos for McCann Worldgroup Europe General Creative Director: Leandro Raposo Executive Creative Director: Pablo Colonnese Creative Directors: David Fernandez / Jon Lavin Account Manager: Pedro Pina Strategic Planning Director: Oriol Bombi Agency Producer: Los Producers Model Build: Anarchy Special Effects Supervisor: Bob Thorne @ Anarchy Digital Designer / Cnc Supervisor: Jason Szukalski @Anarchy Art Department: Paula Vine, Jonathan Bickerdike, Dave Allum, James Churches, Alex Roseberry, Robin Saunders, Joe Szukalski Director of Photography: Matthew Day Camera Assistant: Toby Goodyear Gaffer: Aldo Camilleri Moco Operator: Danny Murphy Moco Previs Supervisor: Andy Bull Automaton Operator: Max Halstead Offline Editor: David Slade Overlay/Playback: Karl Taggart Catering: Konrad Lindholme Studio Manager: Elizabeth Day Compositing, post production & grade: Time-Based Arts Music & Sound Design: Antfood www.nexusproductions.com www.mickeyandjohnny.com www.cocacola.com www.mccann.com www.anarchyltd.com www.jack-cunningham.tumblr.com www.bjornsportfolio.com www.time-based-arts.com www.antfood.com

This music video is an abstract journey in our everyday surroundings, illustrating moments of life in a continuous way. A trip into 4500 still photographs, a travel where urban landscapes meet pastoral scenes to create a whirlpool around the theme of the video: the subjective point of view and urban life. This video was created with a stop motion technique, it was conceived with a very simple Nikon Coolpix E4600. There is no video in it, but not less than 4500 still photos taken in the streets of Nancy and Epinal (France).
