Project: Resonance un-Directed Client: Momentary People/Resonance Music: Box of Toys Audio Background: In the wake of the successful premier of Resonance, we joined forces with Glen from Momentary People to create a score to accompany this visual mash up of the various projects involved. Approach: We wanted to encapsulate the essence of the collaboration by using a wide variety of instruments and production techniques. Instruments such as the an African thumb piano, violin and Tibetan singing bowls were recorded in a forested area, and were layered in with other worldly instruments such as the didgeridoo and duduk in order to accomplish a varied and original sound. This sound was produced in such a way so that the track flickers and flows in line with the visuals, introducing digital elements to an acoustic source and therefore reflecting the way in which some of the projects were created. Read more about how the audio was crafted in our IN DEPTH section on our website. Based on the dancers own passions of body mechanics and the body as work of art in itself, communication and the love of contact work, "Blind Passion' - Raw Cut" is an explosion of physicality and seductive delight. The dancers and choreography move smoothly, becoming more revealing and dynamic, challenging the audience with intrigue and question. Follow me on my journey through the most significant and emotional year of my life. 'Val' is a chronological documentation day by day from 15 Feb 2013 to 15 Feb 2014. Starting as a sort of travel/visual diary animation, the film took a big transformation. it turned out a completely different proposition altogether, covering huge milestones in my life beyond any of my expectations. Within this time frame you will see in order- My time in Brazil for my friends wedding. My journey traveling the east coast of Australia. The last days in Salisbury leading up to my Mother passing away. A stag festival. Getting married in Peru. My mothers funeral. A lot of London, whilst getting a visa for my wife. A second trip to Peru. Moving into a new house. Getting a new Job. And then finally getting my wife Lisi here just in time to give birth to our son Leonard. A year by no means as I planed, filled with emotion from euphoria to despair and back. The process of making this film has helped me get through this time. It has kept my brain active and been a challenge that I have endured in the name of my beautiful mother. The name Val is taken from both my mum Valerie Sheppard and my son Leonard Valentino Graham. I felt this truly represents this crazy circle of life. The mandala that appears with the logo and on the locket is symbolic of a year. The inner 12 circles for months the middle 56 for weeks and outer 365 for days. All the photos are hand stabilised and taken using my iPhone, 80% 4S, 20% 5S. The shots when I was overseas where mainly spontaneous but the ones in London had too be far more considered. I would plan locations before hand and work out times of the day or year that I would visit them. This meant in the winter months I would have to get up early and travel London before starting work. I nearly forgot a couple of times and I thought I had lost my phone a few times too which would have ruined the project. Thankfully i managed to keep hold of both laptop and phone whilst on my travels and armed with an alarm on my phone I remembered everyday. Maybe my mum was looking out for me. GRID, Digital Culture and Moving Images Festival Istanbul has become an exciting new destination for art and design of late; this new festival aims to celebrate that development with a fitting new format that helps facilitate networking and collaborations. Hopefully, the festival will earn itself a good place in the usual circuit of European design festivals helping further integrate Istanbul with the European design scene and providing easy access for creative professionals from Balkans, Middle East and beyond. GRID will create an important platform for training and networking providing designers, artists, advertising and cinema professionals of Turkey the chance to get together and benefit from the experiences of the best names over a broad spectrum of design –ranging from web design to typography, illustration to post-production, interaction and experience design to social media campaigns. Meanwhile, it will provide international ad and design community the chance to get to know better the much-coveted Istanbul scene and make valuable contacts there. The festival will have two editions every year –one in spring and the other in fall. The line-up for the second edition will take place in next fall. www.gridthefestival.com Main Titles Credits: Direction & Design: Ouchhh Director: Ferdi Alici 3d Artists and Designers: Bahadir Dagdelen, Caglar Ozen, Ferdi Alici, Emre Onol, Yusuf Emre Kucur, H. from Spov Design + Moving Image / Added

Ubisoft Montreal approached Spov to collaborate on the opening sequence for their flagship title, Watch_Dogs. Spov were asked to visualise the interior workings of a super-connected network of devices, operating in the fictional near future world in which the game takes place. Spov developed looks for both the network connections and data displays, tracking data and users across devices from desktops to smart-phones, for this thriller destined to be one of 2014's biggest games. Spov then produced the footage which was combined with Ubisoft's gameplay sequences to give the viewer valuable background to the game's narrative.

‘Imprevionism’ is a collaborative project of Jacek(JMS) https://vimeo.com/jacek and Ben. Article on Gizmodo: gizmodo.com/5990125/imprevionism-where-classic-art-and-digital-media-collide And on DailyM: http://dailym.net/2013/03/imprevionism/ Jacek: ‘I call this technique Imprevionism. I use program created in processing and sequence of photos from time-lapse. The program is merging up to 30 photos from TL by using small random, clusters. So, it's similar to idea of Impressionism’ Ben: Jacek timelapses looks like paintings with a nice structure of coloured planes or dots. So it was great when he asked me to cooperate. My idea was to build up the video like a painting. I used animated drawings. First the basic lines, and slowly with dots and planes, showing bit by bit the beautiful timelapses Jacek made. At the end you can see the steps in which Jacek build up his images, but then in reverse mode.
