The Life mobile communications provider marked its fifth anniversary on 24 April, with the management using this opportunity to share the company’s annual strategy with 1,300 employees. The event agency decided to give them a fresh perspective on regular corporate events by making the official part more vibrant and memorable. To achieve this, we used 3D video mapping for the first time ever in the history of business conferences in Ukraine. Three-dimensional content specifically designed by Front Pictures was projected onto three screens to accompany chapters of the report. The entertainment technology fleshed up the conference. And, most importantly, it made the audience gasp in amazement and keep this memory for long. Developed by Front Pictures Studio, Kiev, Ukraine, www.frontpictures.com 24 апреля мобильный оператор Life отмечал 5-летие, и менеджмент компании представлял годовую стратегию 1300-м своим сотрудникам.

      • INTO THE WHITE (video installation about Sergei Parajanov)

Video Documentation (Milan Week Design 2013 - Pause) INTO THE WHITE is a video installation dedicated to the filmaker Sergei Parajanov. The Armenian master, who worked in the second half of the last century, made images like paintings strongly characterised by dreamlike dimensions and extreme realism. The pictorial compositions of the shots in some of Sergei Parajanov's films are fragmented and returned in a single framework made up of ten canvases which have been given a material consistency. Each one of these fragments gives the viewer the opportunity to appreciate the individual details of each frame as if looked at through a magnifying glass. At the same time the individual frames , broken up into their most significant fragments, become a new composition of the shots. The installation" INTO THE WHITE " was chosen this year to open the Golden Apricot Film Festival in Yerevan dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Sergei Parajanov's birth. Project: Kia - Revolution of Mobility Client: Giantstep / Screen X / Kia Music and Sound Design: Box Of Toys Audio Dolby 5.1 Master: Factory Studios BACKGROUND / Our latest collaboration with the super-talented Giantstep and agency Screen X takes us on a journey through the evolution of mobility for Kia Motors. This short brand film was created for a world exclusive multi-screen cinema event in Seoul in which you literally take the drivers seat and are immersed in the action. A special edit of the film was also featured at the Seoul Motor Show 2013 - find out more about the screening here https://vimeo.com/63142627. ScreenX expands the screen by optimizing multi-projection mapping inside the movie theater. This enables everything to become a screen, including both of the side walls. The audience doesn’t just watch the movie, but becomes a part of the movie itself. APPROACH / As a cinema bound piece we had the opportunity to create the entire soundtrack in 5.1 Dolby surround. A stereo mix was also created for versatility across the internet and other mediums. The narrative of the film follows the development of human travel from our primordial beginnings in the sea to the wonder of space exploration. The music needed to flow and evolve in line with the story, providing a sense of awe and excitement as we journey towards a climactic finale on the moon. The composition is primarily orchestral and builds in complexity as the methods of mobility advance. We used an alluring piano and vocal motif throughout to bind the piece together and allow moments of respite, giving room for crescendos and key hit points. The sound design took advantage of the multi-channel surround format to move and place the viewer within each scene via extreme panning and heavy use of the rear speakers, so the audience really felt like they were in the cockpit of a jet or an astronaut in space. In anticipation of the building grandeur of the music, we looked to put emphasis on the sound design in the opening scenes of the film in terms of setting an atmosphere and establishing a tone. We wanted this introductory mood to imbue a sense of fascination and gradually develop into all out excitement as the Kia spaceship arrives.

The annual Vienna Tourism Conference 2009 was something special this time. Jung von Matt/Donau introduced the new corporate design of the Vienna Tourist Board. To make the presentation a one in a kind experience for the 400 guests and all major tourism partners Jung von Matt/Donau approached Strukt to spice up the stage. Playing with the new communication elements like the “communication square” and the number of four a multi-screen setup was realized, using the four windows above the main stage as an additional dramatic element. All the windows and the stage backdrop were virtually connected to become one screen. For the presentation the windows were used as an eye catcher to point out important facts, which then were moved down to the stage backdrop. So the audience was always surprised by new elements and experienced magic transitions from one screen to the others. A festive gala event on November 8th was the setting for the award ceremony hosted by the austrian technology blog futurezone. We have been commissioned to create an futuristic presentation system to showcase products and innovations. The room in the MAK, a museum for applied arts in Vienna was the perfect setting to be transformed into a cyberspace. Three big white walls that encompass the room were the perfect projection surface to immerse the guests into a virtual world. Inspired by the design of the award sculpture, we used the circuit-board aesthetics as our main design element. We created a world populated with energy conducting strip, electronic circuits and flashes of energy that were zooming along the conductive lines. All nominees and winners were embedded into this electronic landscape and during the evening we travelled vertically through this landscape creating the impression of traveling in elevator. The whole room was moving through 56 floors and each movement was enhanced acoustically to create an immersive experience. To achieve this we used six video projectors, two for each wall. Regardless of the difference between the aspect rations of the projections and the walls we used precise positioning of the projectors and a little mapping to create a seamless image throughout the room. Our vvvv real-time system allowed us to fine-tune the viewing angles so that all lines bent correctly around the corners of the room. All projections were controlled by two computers running vvvv. • Kurier Re-Launch

                    from Strukt Added 1,201 29 0

When a newspaper and its website get a relaunch, a big show to present the new design is imminent. Thankfully the Kurier chose the MAK, the museum for applied arts in Vienna, as their location. With it's subtle white-cube look we were able to draw all the attention to the presentation. We worked together with their in-house marketing department to develop the right kind of presentation-tools. We came to the conclusion that using a big stage element in the aspect ration of the newspaper aswell of a standard 4:3 browser window will draw the attention to the content. The Stage element itself was embedded into a 60-meter wide 270° multi-screen projection. In the beginning of the event we wanted to work with an understatement. We only projected the stage-element with a live RSS-feed newsticker and used lights to cover the walls of the hall. As soon as the show started we then extended the projection content to all surrounding walls, kicking off the event with a wow factor. The backdrop was built out of real-time 3D letters floating in space, representing the essential elements of news. The newspaper was simulated in a dynamic way, allowing the audience to watch the presenter browse through the pages. Certain elements that the presenter wanted to highlight moved out of the newspaper onto the wall next to the stage element. The website presentation was fully animated and also used the surrounding walls to emphasize special features that are new to the Kurier.at. Also the walls next to the stage element were a perfect place to show additional and supporting content to the speeches. After the 30 minute presentation we brought the 3D letters to life and created an upbeat audio-reactive visuals system that accompanied the audience until the end of the night. Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
