http://www.chadsorianophotoblog.com/2013/05/canon-eos-rebel-sl1-video-test.html A 1080p video shot with the new Canon EOS Rebel SL1 DSLR at 29.97fps. I edited with Apple iMovie'09 and used Quicktime to compress at best quality a 300mb h264 video file. I paired the new Canon EOS Rebel SL1 with the Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L and the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS lenses. For audio capture, I used the new RODE VideoMic with the Rycote Lyre Suspension System shotgun microphone. For support, I used the new Manfrotto MVH500AH fluid video head paired with BENRO 3580 tripod legs. To help with critical focus, I used the new Hoodman Custom Finder Kit with the H32 Hoodloupe and Custom Bracket Base Plate to magnify the LCD screen. The video footage of the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 was captured by the Canon EOS 5D Mark III paired with the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS zoom lens on top of a Manfrotto 701 HDV fluid video head with a BENRO 3580 tripod legs. The 5D Mark III used an AZDEN ECZ-990 shotgun microphone for audio capture. The new Canon EOS Rebel SL1 is currently the lightest and smallest DSLR in the digital market today. Sporting an 18 megapixel CMOS APS-C sensor with DIGIC 5 processor, the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 has a 4 fps shutter rate with 9 AF points in the viewfinder. With full manual video exposure and audio level controls, this Full HD DSLR can capture video in various resolutions with the help of a very useful 3.2 inch LCD touchscreen. The audio is further enhanced with a built in microphone and a microphone connection for an external microphone. Promotional Video shot for the launch of the new Manfrotto 500 Fluid Video Head General Specifications from Manfrotto : It's the most compact head in our successful Bridging Technology range. The entry-level 500 ensures smooth shots and fine control with up to 5kg (11 lbs.) of equipment. The 500 has professional fluid cartridges on both pan and tilt axes to ensure that every camera movement is smooth, controlled and precise. Faster, easier and safer to use: the side lock system allows the camera and sliding QR plate to click quickly into the head from above, instead of needing to be aligned and slid in from the back. No secondary safety lock is necessary. The side lock system also makes it quicker and simpler to lift the camera out of the head from above. The 500 has one Easy Link 3/8" connector to allow an external monitor or other accessory equipment to be fitted. The MVH500A is a lightweight head with a wider platform for HDSLR bodies as 5DMKIII and the sliding plate travels to balance the latest interchangeable lens cameras as EOS C100. MVH500A is supplied with a 60mm half ball video tripod mount and it also replaces the Manfrotto 701HDV video head. The MVH500AH is the same as MVH500A but with Flat Base. it's just the perfect choice for all the movement gears. Big Thanks to Camille Luca, Samia, Elodie Dos Santos, Karine Leven, le Studio Harmonic, François Darmigny (Eight by Ten Studio), Martin Lagardère, Tom Doumaux, Joris Julian
