            from Renee Rodenkirchen / Added

The documentary film, ‘Feeding the Brain’, explores the urgent need to find treatments for mental illness that do more than merely mask symptoms. This film tells a story of the struggles that many face in an effort to treat their mental illness, and presents some of the most promising, albeit less conventional solutions that have been found. Mental illness survivors, researchers and healthcare practitioners tell their compelling stories and share the hope of a new paradigm in treating mental illness. As the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates once said, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food". • Dr Teri Jaklin ND - JVH (CCSVI) Her experience with MS, CCSVI treatment and what you can do now to control this disease

Public sessions provide new information on CCSVI/JVH treatment and MS care. What an exciting time in the history of MS – an associated condition (CCSVI/JVH), a simple intervention, and symptomatic relief for so many. Dr. Micheal Arata MD, Dr. Bill Code MD and Dr. Teri Jaklin ND came together in two public information sessions to expand on the evolution of CCSVI, to discuss benefits and potential outcomes, and to encourage supportive measures for people living with MS to proactively improve quality of life pre-,post or even without CCSVI treatment. A strong message from all three doctors is that CCSVI/JVH is NOT MS. It is not a cure and it is not permission to disregard good general health practices. And while clearly associated with MS it is potentially also associated with other health conditions. Dr. Jaklin, an Ontario-based naturopathic doctor, explained the underlying inflammatory process of chronic illness in general and specific to MS. She elaborated on mechanisms and the new understanding of inflammatory pathways and introduced both nutritional and lifestyle adjustments to reduce inflammation and help regulate disease. Dr. Jaklin promotes creating a heath care team that serves you in managing your MS and together with Dr. Code advocates taking control of your healthcare in the process of recovery.
