Showing the role of shutter speed (which I leave at 50 95% of the time in "real life"), Aperture, and ISO in achieving proper exposure. Also showing the results of Tiffen ND 0.9 ND Filter. I'm aware of the sheer absurdity of putting a $24 piece of glass in front of a $1300 lens, but I'm doing it anyway. ;-) On a related note: I ordered the 67mm Tiffen ND 0.9 from Amazon and got an empty package instead. I filled out a form Friday at 3pm and got a replacement Saturday at 9am. Nice service Amazon. Thanks! Of course the fact that I got an empty box the first time meant the Filter Gods were telling me to pony up the $$ for a B+W.

A bit jerky this one, did it manually by moving the tripod head around a degree per shot, not the smoothest of results, but I have discovered the ND filter, great exposure results I think

This is a test of two different value ND filters mounted to the GoPro Hero camera and used on board the Mustang ll. Okay...I got a little carried away and used a bunch of video but I thought I may as well share a little more travel footage over southern Vancouver Island BC at the same time. So...this is partly ND 'test' footage and a little fun time too. Thank you especially to Tim of TimnEven Video's for his experimentation which I have copied. (I eventually settled on a Tiffen 1.2 ND filter as my best option shooting through my canopy, into the propeller. If not shooting directly through the prop, I shoot without any filters. Each to his own of course, and happy flying!

A few shots taken using a Canon 5dmkII with a Sigma 50mm f1.4 lens and the Lightcraft Workshop Fader NDII. Props to the boys on the bikes for doing things again when i didn't get the shots right...! I am all too aware of the problems the last shot has thanks to having slowed it down by 30%....! If only i'd had the 7D with me... Music from Grover Washington Jr. with Mr Magic, serious Jazz funk classic.

Más info en mi blog: http://leandroperez.com.ar/cazando-el-tiempo-en-tinogasta-verano-2011/ ======================================================== This time-lapse shows a little bit of Tinogasta city (Catamarca, Argentina) and it's people. We did this video with a friend during summer, it's our first time-lapse work. Sadly the video quality is not good, I think it's either a compression problem or just because the original files are JPEG (looks better on my PC, though). We know there's a lot to improve here, so feel free to criticize our work. We want to do better next time! www.proyectotinogasta.com.ar

HDR Time-lapse @ www.TheVoder.com ©2011 Andrew S. Geraci all rights reserved. Do not use this material without licensing and permission. DC is one of the most difficult places to shoot. No tripods, no fancy equipment, only a single camera. After planning my shots and figuring out what time would be best to shoot, I went out and started this HDR Time-lapse production. During the course of the shoot I was stopped 9 times by NPS (national parks service) and three times by DC Metro police. Apparently there was a target on me... It does look suspicious though when a guy is toting around a giant blue time-lapse slider, 3 tripods and a battery. Because of the numerous roadblocks I wasn't able to use my Dynamic Perception time-lapse slider as much as I had intended, but the shots that I did get were pretty impactful (In my opinion). This is my first project conceptualized completely in HDR. During the course of the shoot I was able to refine my HDR process and eliminate almost 30 hours of processing time by switching some settings around on both my camera and in certain programs. HDR is one of the most fun things to shoot and this production really opened my eyes to what it's capable of. It doesn't need to be all "Harry Potterish" but a simple and subtle blend of imagery will do the trick. This project is only the first in a long line of ideas I have brewing up in my head. I hope you enjoy it! And if you like it, please share it! Thanks so much! A special thanks to all of those that helped get me access or supported my shoot (with ideas, time, and food!) (Melissa Myers, Johnny Bivera, David Kosling) Shot over a 3 day period; ranging from 4AM-12AM. Rendered, edited and produced in 1 day. Music by: Gregg Lehrman - "Spirit of the storm" Shot on: Canon 5D Mark II Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 II Canon 50mm f/1.4 Tamron 28-300 f/3.5-5.6 Complied in: Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 Adobe After Effects CS5 Custom HDR Software and a Dynamic Perception Stage Zero For licensing information please contact me at ageraci@thevoder.com
