In case you missed the NeochaEDGE x Idle Beats screen-printing workshop recently at the Neocha Studio, check out this short video we produced capturing all the fun. The music in the video is a track by Shanghai-based indie-folk musician Red Red Mushroom (remixed by David Liang) from our soon-to-be released eXpo album, a ten-track compilation showcasing the leading independent electronic artists in China that we collaborated on with The Shanghai Restoration Project. A special shout out to Archie Hamilton and his team at Split-Works for putting together such a stellar Jue Festival this year, thus giving this workshop a proper arts festival platform to be presented on. Bravo! http://edge.neocha.com/

dabaoge.net Location: 北京 Beijing, 中国 China 翻译者:年轻帮Satan 艺术品 Artwork by Nini Sum @ Idlebeats We were invited to shoot a video with French band Fortune during the Modern Sky Festival in October last year. Delighted at the opportunity we hopped on the fast train to Beijing and met with the the band after their afternoon concert at the Huairou Ski Resort where the festival was being held. Together with another band's acoustic guitar and a keyboard we went looking for a good spot to shoot a video together. The festival took place just below the Great Wall of China but as hiking wasn't really an option we settled for a boat in a man-made lake nearby occupied by Beijing families with puppies coming out for a rent-a-rod-and-fish experience. The guys decided to record one of their singles "Bully" and did so in a harmonious mix of fish, ducks and Chinese amateur fishermen. Charles & Andy

When we first held an exhibition in Hamburg, we had no electricity on one of the floors. To solve the light problem, we decided to block out all possible light sources at the space and hand flash lights to our visitors to explore the exhibition. The night turned out to be a huge success, so since then, we have been trying to recreate that same experience worldwide. Last summer, our exhibition space in Shanghai showed 20 young artists from 8 different countries. The exhibition stayed for 10 days in this brilliant city, and one of the nights we turned our 1000m2 space at Wharf 1846 into a black hole and let our guests explore the art in a more focused and adventurous way. The artists exhibited were: Max & Charlotte, Bertrand Peyrot, Typhaine Augusto, Sophie van der Perre, Aixia Li, Nini Sum, Hu Xing Yi, Fenk Zhang, Daniel van der Noon, Maxim Santalov, Mia Mai Graabaek, Julie Nymann, Stine Deja, Kyra Sacks, Roman Asmus, Bhairavi Parikh, Merijn Kavelaars and Caucasso Lee Jun. We thank Wharf 1846, Sailor Jerry, Strictly Designers United, Translin, Shanghai Detour for their support of young artists.
