Japanese "Koto" instrument. Shortly into the video there is a focus glitch for a few seconds. If I cut it out we would lose continuity in the song. Recorded with a Panasonic G5 in Kyoto, Japan in Nov 2014. There is only one fluorescent light overhead. I visited a married couple who are musicians.

This is the Parka they sent me for my Antarctic Trip with OAT/GCC. Wish the sleeves were maybe a half-inch to three-quarters inch longer but they'll do. Was expecting them to be too short but they are pretty good. Recorded with Panasonic GH4 and the newer 14-140 lens. Focus does not seem as good as the 2 kit lenses that came with my older GH5. A few times I bring something in close and it doesn't focus 100% accurate.

Taking a regular train, the "Thunderbird", from Kanazawa to Kyoto, Japan. The train we take is joined with another train to make a really long train. Kyoto Station was quite busy and I believe we arrived on a 3 day Japanese holiday. Shot with Panasonic G5. The Shinkansen (new trunk line) is a network of high-speed railway lines in Japan operated by four Japan Railways Group companies. The maximum operating speed is 320 km/h (200 mph). We pass Mt. Fuji in the distance on this ride. Still Images can be seen at: http://studio808.smugmug.com/Travel/Japan-Nov-2014/46536760_MVcSSZ Shot with Panasonic G5.

Cruising Lake Asahi (alternate spelling: Ashi) from Kojiri to Hakone-machi in Japan. It was a beautiful day. I rang the Wishing Bell- my wish for a Japanese wife did not come true. We saw a pirate ship (another tourist boat) and we had a not-displeasing-to-the- eye female Captain! Still Images can be seen at: http://studio808.smugmug.com/Travel/Japan-Nov-2014/46536760_MVcSSZ

Odaiba Island is a large artificial island in Tokyo Bay, across the Rainbow Bridge from central Tokyo. It was initially built for defensive purposes in the 1850s, dramatically expanded during the late 20th century as a seaport district, and has developed since the 1990s as a major commercial, residential and leisure area. Odaiba, along with Minato Mirai 21 in Yokohama, are two of the only places in the Greater Tokyo Metropolitan area where the seashore is accessible, and not blocked by industry and harbor areas. Yes, it does have a smaller scale Statue of Liberty there!. I took a ride on the Ferris Wheel too. Still Images can be seen at: http://studio808.smugmug.com/Travel/Japan-Nov-2014/46536760_MVcSSZ

We have lunch at Kyoto University. There was some sort of continuing entertainment going on as we made our way on the campus to one of the dining rooms. Only able to get a few short clips with my Droid Turbo cellphone. Still Images can be seen at: http://studio808.smugmug.com/Travel/Japan-Nov-2014/46536760_MVcSSZ

Kyoto, Japan. Visited a company that does their own weaving. They had a Kimono fashion show too! Recorded with Panasonic G5 and Motorola Droid Turbo cellphone. Edited in Premier Pro. Unfortunately, I was not able to get a picture with any of the models. Still Images can be seen at: http://studio808.smugmug.com/Travel/Japan-Nov-2014/46536760_MVcSSZ

In Kanazawa, Japan we tour the Higashi-Chaya district with its old wooden houses. We also visit a 194 yr old Ochaya- a teahouse where geishas perform and we also meet a geisha/geiko who talks about her life and answers our questions. The laughter is when she tells us she has a Statue of Liberty in the room where we all are. It is a small statue way up in the corner of the room, behind us. Of course, I have to try my hand with the drums and get a picture with her at the end! Still Images can be seen at: http://studio808.smugmug.com/Travel/Japan-Nov-2014/46536760_MVcSSZ

Tokyo, Roppongi Hills- opened in 2003 in the heart of Tokyo's Roppongi district, the building complex features offices, apartments, shops, restaurants, a hotel, art museum, observation deck and more. Great views from the outdoor observation deck. I also visited the wonderful art museum. It was quite hazy so I tried to adjust levels(auto) a bit in Prem Pro. Methinks the Auto Levels caused a bit of color flickering on the horizon occasionally. Recorded with my trusty Panasonic G5.
