The Queen Mother Dr. Delois N. Blakely, is a community activist and ambassador for peace. She has served as Harlem's unofficial mayor for the last eight years. This past fall she called on Occupy Wall Street supporters to help her "occupy" the boiler room in her building at 477 W. 42nd Street in Harlem's Sugarhill neighborhood, till it was fixed by the building's superintendent. Real estate interests driving gentrification in the neighborhood, impeded attempts to fix the heater with the goal of making the building unlivable. The Queen Mother has called on support to #Occupy 477 an attempt to bring awareness to her efforts to keep the building from being sold to the highest bidder. This video is a prayer from the Queen Mother, a call out to fight back against the gentrification of one of the New York City's poorest and working-class communities. Her struggle is currently in the courts and her voice and spirit is with the people. A short video by Indymedia Brum from October 2011. Interviews with members of Occupy Birmingham UK four days into the occupation explaining why they choose to get involved. This was when people where still enthusiastic about the movement and before it was taken over by conspiracy theorists, Freemen and Zietgeist members, which ultimately led to the movements impotency.

Jingle Bells for people wanting to change the world. NEW LYRICS. Single available on Itunes, Amazon, etc. Lyrics: Dashing through the street, In limos with your stolen pay, Over the homeless they go, Rich people laughing all the way. Bell on picket lines ring, Making the 1% full of fright, Oh what global revolution, We're bout to set off tonight. Oh CHORUS Jingle bells, give um hell, Occupy wall street, Oh what fun it is to dance on the freedom train on your feet Jingle bells, give um hell, occupy the Earth, Oh what fun it is to ride in a world where love has worth. A day or two ago, I thought I'd take a ride, So I went to the rich part of town, The 99% were by my side. The street had very angry people, Cause lying politicians paved the way, So we're not only mad at corporations, Greedy politicians also have to pay. OH CHORUS: (Repeat) Now it's save ya bootie time, For humans to be one, No more imperialism, And propaganda brain oblivion. A day or so from now, people Listen let's not pretend, The final war is not from the Devil, It's man-made destruction my friend.

Today, we take direct action against the NYPD. They have spied on us, they have assaulted us, they have kidnapped us from the streets without cause or charge. We, the 99% of people who will no longer be silent have chosen to make our voices heard. Former commissioner Raymond Kelly, we, the people have decided you no longer have a job. Any acts of brutality you order today will only serve as further evidence of your misconduct. Read the previous article about today's actions. 3/24 Live Updates 12:27 AM: Bloomberg's private army (formerly known as the NYPD) is now using barricades as weapons against unarmed people. 12:22 AM: People's victory march has begun, leaving Union Square. 12:19 AM: Former officers of the NYPD, feel famous now. You have just brought about New York's Tahrir Square moment. By directly assaulting the people, you have surrendered your legitimacy. Occupiers, celebrate. We've won. 12:14 AM: The NYPD has begun rioting in the area surrounding Union square, leaving people feeling unsafe in their persons and possessions. 12:12 AM: An armed gang is currently kidnapping people from the street in Union Square. 12:08 AM: Definition of terrorism: The illegal use of force to achieve political goals. NYPD, you have crossed the line from law enforcement organization to becoming a terrorist faction. 12:05 AM: Barricades have been illegally erected in our park. They're in the way of public use of the public's park. They'd look a lot better on their sides. 12:03 AM: Occupiers asking who they are protecting. Bloomberg's private army refuses to answer Withdraw. Now.
