Members of Occupy Philadelphia and Philadelphians Allied for a Responsible Economy (PHARE) stage a street theater performance in front of several Center City Wells Fargo branches. As folks stop their shopping to watch, the activists call Wells Fargo out for robbing the city, engaging in racist predatory lending, and kicking families out of their homes. In November 2011, 14 members of Occupy Philly staged a citizens' foreclosure on Wells Fargo bank. This group of citizens foreclosed on the branch because of its repeated failure to pay its debt to Philadelphia: - Wells Fargo and other banks took more than $330 million from Philadelphia's School District and other city agencies in bad swap deals. - Wells Fargo has kicked more families out of their homes than any other bank in the Philadelphia. - Wells Fargo has systematically offered discriminatory lower-quality mortgages to individuals and families of color. It's high time big banks were held accountable for hurting our communities and neighborhoods. The people arrested at Wells Fargo are taking their case to court on June 13th to put Wells Fargo on trial. This is an opportunity to draw attention to real issues in our city, as well as to how Well Fargo continues to make record profits by taking from our city agencies, kicking families out of their homes, and engaging in racism. Join us in the courtroom on the 13th to hold Wells Fargo accountable to the 99%! Learn more at http://www.gophare.org/

On Nov. 15th, 2011 Fight for Philly, in collaboration with Occupy Philly, Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign and local communities occupied the Market St Bridge. The bridge, like thousands around the country, is rated by engineers as being in critical risk of failure. The action is intended to bring attention to the need for a massive public works program to rebuild America's infrastructure. The program would have that added benefit of putting millions of Americans back to work, contributing to the rebuilding of solid communities across the country.

On November, 6, 2011, Adam and Ally got married. A friend, a baptist preacher, officiated the service for them. At the ceremony, they had live music and were surrounded by friends and family. They exchanged vows they wrote themselves. They even got married at City Hall. Or rather, outside, on Dilworth Plaza, where Occupy Philly had made its home for just over a month. Their journey, which began when they met while volunteering at the Info Tent, tracks the development of Occupy Philly from a protest tactic to a community, where new bonds were forged among people looking for a meaningful life.
