Trailer for the Stereoscopic Odissi Dance film, Tarang. View the 2D version: https://vimeo.com/71557019 About Tarang: Tarang, a four minute stereoscopic dance film directed by Jonny Greenwald with stereography and VFX by Shyam Kannapurakkaran, points out some vivid artistic possibilities for the 3D dance film. Hindi for “wave,” Tarang is a digital exploration of the classical Indian dance style known as Odissi, originating in Odisha, India - “the land of temples and sculptures.” The piece features the choreography and dancing of Aparupa Chatterjee, a National Scholarship in Odissi recipient, paired with a sampling from Pandit Jasraj’s “Is Basant Mein” remixed by Ganesh Rao. Developed with guidance from Karen Hillier of Texas A&M University, the look of Tarang was inspired by the “Joiner” technique created by British artist David Hockney. By capitalizing on the cohesion and fragmentation of the dancer’s movements, a complex array of simultaneous points of view are formed that transcend time and place. These points of view speak of Indian creativity and representations of beauty, Indian traditions and histories through dance and music, and the Indian ideal of unity in diversity. Tarang is a piece that marries India's artistry and spirituality with western art form and stereoscopic technology to explore the cultural tapestry of Odisha and India in way that has never been done before.

Another flawless performance by Tejaswi , as begins to shine . On the occasion of Raja Utsav celebrations in Bangalore , managed by Shashikant and friends , this was small family gathering to live the moments of this festival. Despite the audience moving around and with children making noise , Tejaswi was a hermit , deeply focused and calm in his prayers to the Elephant God. The outcome is spellbinding.
