      from Oliver Latta Added 36.1K 1,438 71

Symmetry, is sometimes described as “a vague sense of harmonious and beautiful proportion and balance”. Symmetry and balance is something that we strive for in almost every aspect of our lives. Our diet, our work, our physical and mental health, all require a certain level of balance. I tried to capture the magic of symmetry on a snowy day in March 2013. more infos: facebook.com/extraweg or www.extraweg.com Please watch in HD ;-) hope you like that! • THE LAST MEMORY (short film)

          from Oliver Latta Added 182K 2,462 49

The Baltic Harbour Porpoise is at the brink of extinction! In the central Baltic Sea only about 300 individuals are left and pressure from underwater noise pollution, oil and gas exploration and extensive fishery keeps rising. It is important that we start to protect the small whales at our door step before it is too late. I decided to make a 3D animated short film at the 5th semester at the Design University in Dessau. The main message is: we have to save the harbour porpoise before it is too late! - Don´t let it be the your last memory! • Serotonin

              from Sean Benik Added 55.9K 446 27

Surfing doesn’t make people happy. Serotonin does. Serotonin is what your body produces when your brain is telling you to feel good — like when you’re surfing. Or traveling. Or enjoying the comfort of a woman. In Oliver Kurtz’s Serotonin edit, we get a mix of all three. It’s a variety of different trips (Hawaii, California, Panama, Mexico, Azores and more) set to a variety of different moods and a variety of different songs. Because a full year of surfing shouldn’t be boxed into one package. So many things happen in a year. Boards change. People change. Surfing changes. And serotonin levels will spike and plunge — we’ve got a feeling that this’ll make yours do the former.

from Oliver Villar Diz Added 19.6K 66 25

Hi! The last week, blendtuts.com has registered a very high number of visits :) and I wanted to "celebrate" it by making a video with an idea that was in my head since a few months ago. I love to see timelapses; but in 3d... I thought that recording a timelapse with smooth and "normal" camera movements should be possible, instead of seeing that lightspeed orbiting and panning around camera, that sometimes can result "a bit crazy! So, from time to time I tried out things, and I was thinking about how to achieve that result, until a couple of weeks ago, I saw the light and discovered a way of doing it! :) I like to call it Cinematic Timelapse, because you can "film" the process with the desired camera movements, and even direct it. I know that I wont use this method always, because it's pretty time consuming... but I wanted at least to try it out with a simple project! The project, the model and all the stuff wasn't very important for me, only the "timelapsing" method was... even the "textures" are not textures at all! xD It's just a very quick overpaint of a basic lighting render. Hope you like it! And thanks to all of you for supporting blendtuts.com! Overall for that people who have take the time to write very inspirational and motivational emails to me ;) They are very apreciated! Cheers!

On the first part of the video we'll see that tools, how they work, their parameters, etc. At the end of the video there is a timelapse of a quick character's face so you can see the workflow for sculpting in Blender :) Original Post at blendtuts.com: http://www.blendtuts.com/2011/04/basic-sculpting-in-blender-25.html
