In the summer of 2009 I traveled to Park City, Utah and Lake Placid, New York to film ski jumping athletes compete and train for the 2010 (and beyond) winter Olympics. This was a short video I edited just before Anders was to make his first jump at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

The birthplace of American ski jumping is in Red Wing Minnesota, where the first recorded tournament took place in 1887. But since the heyday of the sport, when clubs abounded throughout the upper Midwest and Olympians were produced almost every four years, today only a handful of clubs still operate here. In the winter of 2009 I spent a few weeks filming at the Minneapolis ski jumps with Chris Broz. As a dedicated coach he strives to keep this Olympic sport alive in Minnesota. Over the years his hard work, along with the support of parents and private funding, have kept the ski jump operational, but it hasn't always been easy. This is a short film I edited in 2009.
