This is the first of my audioreactive artifacts experiments. The object is made in Modo 302. The composition is made in vvvv (www.vvvv.org) Audio and midi sequence in ableton live, (camera bangs, object rolls, object spreads, fill, etc). Render with fraps at 25 fps. A little bit of motion blur is added. The original runs at 120 fps, and is completly audio reactive. Music track: Rumor vitreo -extract-, 2008 (unreleased) Artist: Tupperwear www.myspace.com/tupperwearmusic

Un juguete con 4 sonidos de batería circuitbendeado (?) con pote en lugar de resistencia y con los botones disparados por el contacto de antenas de auto sobre esponjas de metal -la idea de ese reemplazo de botones es del gran Mateo Carabajal- + 555 oscilador -del estilo del drawdio- ejecutado en una Plectranthus australis (aka dólar) Circuitbent toy with 4 drum sounds, changed the buttons contacts to car antenna and metal sponges -the idea is from Mateo Carabajal- playing along with a 555 osc -drawdio style- on a Plectranthus australis (aka dollar plant) One of the winners at Made of imagination contest: http://www.booooooom.com/2012/10/11/homemade-instrument-winners/

OSCILLATOR is a collection of off-cuts and lost edits; late night smartphone videos and unused music; real-time noise experiments using diegetic audio on a long stretch of European motorway; code-based sound generators and unmapped kinect territories, as well as footage from the dead cities and exceptional states of 2013’s 'Sleepwalk City' A/V installation. Major downsizing. From three cases, a boat and two beauty cases to one case and one boat. My first patch on my new Monorocket MX6. Started out with an EMS Synthi type patch, utilizing only the Analogue Systems Modules. Then added some panning, then some simple Makenoise Rene sequencing. And finally another Sequencer clocked at a different rate hitting the same Oscillator as the Rene. Lots of quantized filters and low pass gates. 4MS RCD mixing up events and gates.

Here's a demo for the Wigglers out there who demand it. The new Make Noise Dual Prismatic Oscillator. Disclaimer: I'm functioning on about three hours restless sleep. UPS man knocked on my door surprisingly early and well... I couldn't bring myself to go back to bed. What we have here is a quick demo showing the raw wave forms from both sections of the DPO. Then some tweaking of the knobs and the modes. Then I use the Make Noise Pressure Points/Brains combo to construct a very simple sequence. Only other modules in use are the Make Noise Optomix (Low Pass Gate) and a mixer. There is some wave folding and FM modulation going on during the sequence. I hope it's pretty self-explanatory. I will be doing a proper tutorial when I've had time to spend with the DPO and hopefully borrow a nice HD camera. Until then enjoy!

A/V is an audiovisual performance with found, hacked and handmade hardware. It uses radios, 78 RPM (shellac) records, old telephones, DC motors, and different things (amplified via piezo) as audio source, all of them controlled by an electromechanical sequencer I've designed and built. It focuses on a search of balance between randomness and rhythm. The relay-based sequencer (named klipiKlap) basically turns almost every electric/electronic device ON an OFF in a rhythmic way. Patch cables allow the creation of complex sound patterns. Over the end of the video, the clock-like sound of relays can be heard (amplified via piezo too). A/V doesn't include digital sound processing (with the exception of a simple 1-channel sampler from the hacked mixer), computers, or any kind of professional musical hardware. A handmade robotic camera (also controlled by the performer) shows what is happening on the table.

“Sala de Máquinas” (Engine Room) is an audiovisual interactive installation, which intends to reflect on the idea of the reutilization of what we have acknowledged as obsolete...in this case old modified TVs that react to sound! An electronic oscillator is connected to an open circuit, in a way that when the user touches 2 metal bars he/she himself/herself becomes the electrical resistance therefore being able to vary the frequency of sound. The old modified TVs react to this sound as an oscilloscope having all kinds of different patterns and reactions. Tags

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
