Have ran across the film roll transition in videos a few times, so I thought I'd give it a shot by recreating a similar look in AfterEffects. A quick exercise and a nice break from my bigger project.

My performance "Les machines solitaires" was selected for the Ole festival on electronic literature, and displayed as performance and installation at the PAN Palazzo delle Arti Napoli, Italy, selected for young contemporary art price. October 2014 Here a short cut of it i did quickly because the more i was watching the rush, the more i was thinking i am crazy, so i decide to jump and publish it! Special thanks to all the people who supported me in this process (...) More informations & documentation: http://lesmachinessolitaires.tumblr.com http://aude-f.com/les-machines-solitaires-blog/ http://aude-f.com/pan-palazzo-delle-arti-napoli/ Performance project “Les machines solitaires” – “the lonely machines” 5 real clocks, 3 sound sculptures, live video, 12 microphone piezo micro contact, cithar, midi piano, audio mixer, computer, ableton live, overhead projector, transparent paper prints, inks, glass, letters, plants (...) Piece of a sound-video-sculpture-performance, all generated in real time. In the corridor of our mind, time is playing under the surface of our skins. Related metaphors are hidden in every symbolic objects and sounds. Strange metallic sound-sculpture are hanging and playing with the physical oppression of time. Do we still remember who we are after all those turns and critical behaviors. When does reality remain trapped inside fiction? All is generated in real time starting from the minimalist tic tac of the clock creating an improvised experimental sound collage, there is nothing pre-recorded all is composed from a blank page, every performance is different, depending of the place, the atmosphere, the mood, the technical constraint. Organic, surreal, dark, dreamy, conceptual In loving memory of Gisèle Brunaud.

Opener for the 2014 SALT Nashville conference (http://saltnashville.com) focusing on the legacy of creativity and art in the history of the church and its inspiration for today's creative worship environments. It also gives a nod to the use of old media and technology and how it can be used to shape our current technologies. Several types of projection were used...from an overhead projector to environmental projection to projection mapping. My role was creative director for the opener and animator for all of the visuals. The script was written by Seth Bartlette, and he also was the voiceover and artistic talent. (http://sethbartlette.com)

Wild Passage was a commission for a private London residence Completed in 2009. Fragments of antique and fused glass are placed on an overhead projector housed at the far and of a corridor. The projected image, suggestive of a seascape, stretches across the walls, distorted by the architecture, and projects through an archway at the far end of the space. The light passes over objects and furniture creating shadows that are then reflected in mirrors and cast onto walls in adjacent corridors.
