    A primeira vez que provei a Marton's Pedigree foi na minha primeira loja do Mestre-Cervejeiro.com em Curitiba. Lembro que gostei bastante da cerveja, tínhamos poucas cervejas inglesas no Brasil - e ainda não temos muitas marcas - e gostei não só da Pedigree como também da Marton's Oyster Stout. Elas são cervejas muito bem equilibradas, seguinte a linha inglesa. Burton-on-Trent foi o grande centro cervejeiro da Inglaterra no final de 1800 e muito de sua fama vem da água. Cervejeiros no mundo inteiro buscam reproduzir a água de Burton para fazer estilos característicos ingleses, processo conhecido como Burtonização. E o mais fascinante da visita à Marton's foi saber que eles ainda mantém um sistema de fermentação único criado em Burton, chamando de Burton Union System. A Marston's é a única cervejaria no mundo que ainda mantém este sistema, e para fazer somente uma das suas cervejas, a Marton's Pedigree.
