http://flyozone.com/kitesurf/en/products/kites/reo/info/ Wave Riding Freedom The Reo is designed specifically for surfing waves with a kite. Since first introducing this model into our line up in 2012 it has become an iconic surf kite. The Reo is advanced in design yet simple enough to let you focus on surfing the wave. Versatile performance makes all conditions, from on-shore slop to cross-off barreling reef breaks, fun and easy. The relatively low aspect design combined with fast direct handling generates consistent power to get around sections in a wave. Finely tuned profiles and wing shaping offer unmatched drifting characteristics - as you ride down the line the Reo will float allowing more concentration lining up the next section. De-powering the Reo is smooth and efficient, canopy luff is progressive which means the kite maintains positive bar pressure and handling throughout the de-power throw range, making the kite very reactive throughout the range. Hooked or un-hooked the Reo performs to any given task in the waves. Simply trim in with the de-power cleat before unhooking and the Reo will sit and fly perfectly, floating with your riding movements. If you prefer to ride unhooked often we suggest connecting the back lines to the longer knot position. If you want lighter or heavier bar pressure use the rear tabs on the tips where the back bridle lines attach. As with all Ozone products, we pride ourselves with top of the line manufacturing in our own factory, using the highest quality materials suited for the job. The new Reo is constructed with quality proven Teijin D2 canopy material and Teijin Dacron providing a crisper feel and a stronger kite. The Reo is designed tough without the need of unnecessary cosmetic items that only add weight and drag which reduce performance. Due to customer feedback the return of a 4m size Reo further completes the line up offering more selection for critical rider preferences. Be sure to take a test ride on the new Reo, here at Ozone we think all will be stoked with the performance and capabilities allowing you to push your wave riding to the next level.+ More details
http://flyozone.com/kitesurf/en/products/kites/catalyst/info/ The Ozone Catalyst was incredibly well received last season, a favourite across the world and our top selling model. For this season we retain the same general design with minor tweaks and improvements and with obviously fresh new colours and printing. New 7m and 9m sizes have also been added to the line up. Combining performance and versatility the Catalyst delivers across every category, it really does “do it all” to a very high level. It feels and performs equally well in all aspects of the sport satisfying a wide variety of riders. For Freeriders the Catalyst is a kite that continues to please no matter what you choose to be doing on the day. The smooth power delivery and refined handling allows you to relax and enjoy the ride. The Catalyst is also an amazing Freestyle starting block right up to advanced unhooked riding. Its open C shape design offers a subtle C feel without being as aggressive as the C4. From your first unhooked moves through to handle passes and kite loops, the Catalyst delivers confidence-inspiring performance allowing you to push your limits. In the waves the Catalyst is a predictable performer. The refined handling, de-power and float offer time to ride the wave rather than having to continuously fly the kite. It is not designed as a dedicated wave kite like the Reo, but still delivers solid wave riding performance. As an entry level kite the Catalyst is the perfect choice. It is easy to ride and fly and can take you from being new to kiting all the way to advanced riding if you want. The easy flight characteristics, simple re-launch and progressive de-power means you can progress quickly and safely. It has been the kite of choice for Ozone designer Rob Whittall and notably the up and coming youngster Patrick Blanc who has been riding the Catalyst in all the PKRA events. Patrick’s riding has improved over the season and he is pushing his way towards the top ten, not bad for a seventeen year old. We are confident that you will find the Catalyst really is a true “do it all” kite.+ More details
http://flyozone.com/kitesurf/en/products/kites/reo/info/ The Reo is a very unique kite in our line up, designed specifically for wave riding with true surfing at it's heart. Since first introducing the Reo we have had nothing other than positive feedback and it has become the iconic surf kite. Behind the scenes we have been continually developing this model looking to improve it's overall performance for wave riding. We believe in freedom on the wave to take us closer to a true surfing experience. To achieve this we have to combine many aspects of kite design to develop a kite that has huge depower, smooth fast direct handling, float when slack lined and perfect drift for down the line and onshore riding. The modifications to the new Reo have allowed us to improve stability and float, whilst maintaining controlled depower capabilities, this allows the rider to depower to the point where surfing is closer to reality rather than being powered along a wave. The root chord has been slightly increased delivering consistent power to get around sections in the wave, whilst easily floating down the line when need be. With fast direct handling and improved low end the Reo allows the rider to maximise power in onshore conditions when the wave can 'push' downwind. Hooked or un-hooked the Reo performs to any given task in the waves. For unhooked riding simply trim in slightly with the de-power cleat and the Reo will sit and fly perfectly, floating with the rider making it easier to line up that next section. Another key aspect when building a kite specific for wave riding is the strength to weight ratio. As with all our kites we use top of the line materials and combined with our very own factory quality is second to none. The Reo is designed tough without the need of unnecessary cosmetic items which only add weight and drag which reduces performance. New sizes complete the Reo line up offering more selection for those critical rider preferences. Power to size ratios have been refined and we now have more power per size. For example a rider enjoying the original 8m would now feel similarly powered on the new 7m. Be sure to take a test ride on the new Reo, here at Ozone we think all will be stoked with the performance and capabilities allowing you to push your wave riding to the next level.+ More details
