This is from a 10-day road trip assignment following, er, chasing a train. After getting each shot, we would quickly pack up and try and beat the train to the next location with enough time to set up and do it all over again (of course, we didn't always make it in time). Since the budget didn't allow for a scouting trip, we did all of the scouting via Google Maps. Hell of a journey!

In the depths of the Ocean Pacific surrounding the beautiful New Caledonia, lies a very shy creature, that in the night hours, reach shallower waters. Having survived relatively unchanged for millions of years, nautiluses represent the only living members of the subclass nautiloidea, and are considered "living fossils."

We decided to take a road trip up the beautiful Highway 1 to Fortbragg CA. Along the way we saw stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and even got some drone flights around the Point Arena Lighthouse. Though, hands down the best part of our trip was visiting Glass Beach. For those who do not know Glass Beach was a garbage dumping ground for locals until the 1960s, Glass Beach underwent massive cleanup projects in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but the glass from bottles and other items remained, worn smooth over time as it tumbled through the ocean. The beach looks other worldly gem like sand. Also, in our video is our great hotel room at North Cliff Hotel that over looked the harbor. Here’s to another year with even more adventures and videos to come!

On a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii in December 2014, I had the opportunity to swim with dolphins in the wild. After their night feeding our in the deeper waters, pods of dolphins come to more shallow waters in the early morning. These dolphins were about a half mile of the Kona shores in 30-50 foot water. There were times when curious individuals would come right up to me to check me out. Other times, I would find myself surrounded by over 25 dolphins. In a few cases, you can see baby dolphins swimming closely to their mother. Video taken with a GoPro. Music: "Erik Satie: Gymnopedie No 1" by Kevin MacLeod (http://incompetech.com)

I thought it would be fun to do a time lapse while scuba diving. The diving conditions (visibility) that day were quite good and rare for the Los Angeles coastline. Shot off Palos Verdes with a GoPro Hero 3 Black and a bamboo pole. Time lapse settings were set at 2 fps and 12 mp wide. I rendered the video in the GoPro Studio and did the editing in Final Cut Pro X. The audio was a royalty free song that I found on the internet. Be sure to watch the Garibaldi’s (California State Fish) swimming around my face towards the end!
