Second year animation group project at Bournemouth University BA Computer Animation module. Many thanks to Olalekan Aleem, Lewis Pickston and Benjamin Wakeman for their hard work, dedication and effort! It is a childish, humorous and naiive little story about the joyful Peg and his attempts to befriend the grumpy Sadman. "Distraction" is my graduation film I created at the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) Bournemouth University. The film including the story and production was created entirely by myself. The story is based on an insurance claims office worker who comes to work happy and eager to begin his daily boring routine behind his desk. A mischievous troublesome little fly has other ideas and sets out to irritate the man and stop from doing his work. Special thanks to Alex Clarke for the sound design. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Much Music I was tasked with creating a show package for a special televised account of the highlights of our history. The idea of a time warp is prominent in the visual choices. I designed the logo as well as illustrated the plethora of texture backgrounds before I began animation. This clip consists of the open, and 2 bumpers separated by some transitions from the show package.
