        This is an animation of the data Michigan State University scientists gathered from GPS collars attached to four wild pandas in the Wolong Nature Reserve in the Sichuan Province of southwest China. As reported in the Journal of Mammalogy, the adult females Mei Mei, Pan Pan and Zhong Zhong, the young female Long Long and the male Chuan Chuan show surprising overlap with each other -- not what was expected of animals that were thought to be solitary.

          If you've ever held a piece of bamboo your know how unbreakable it is, in fact in China it's still used as scaffolding and these guys chomp through the stuff all day ~ imagine how strong their teeth must be! This is one of the best places to see pandas but you have to arrive first thing in the morning to catch them eating.
