Margaret Anderson leaves behind a husband and 2 young children. On June 21st, Climbing Ranger Nick Hall accidentally fell to his death while performing an on-mountain rescue of 4 injured climbers near the summit of Mount Rainier. On August 13, 2012, a group of entrepreneurs, creatives and adventure-enthusiasts will attempt to summit Mount Rainier to raise funds for Margaret's husband and two children. For 3 of the climbers, Ryan, Bradley and Jeff, this will mark their "first ascent". Michael Rowley, Founder of 14,4 Foundation, has built his foundation on a passion for helping those whom have been injured in the outdoors, or families who have lost loved ones to the outdoors. This climb marks the first fundraising effort by 14,4 Foundation to help a family who lost a loved one. In an effort to create awareness and financial support for the Anderson family, we are raising a minimum of $5000 that will go towards the children's college fund. We know that many people have heard the tragic story of Margaret and Nick's tragic deaths. We are hoping to involve a lot of local people from the Rainier community, the Ranger community, guide services and outdoor enthusiasts. We believe that $5000 is an easy goal to achieve, and foresee several thousand dollars being raised for this cause. Our number one goal is to raise $1500 that will be given entirely to the Anderson and Hall families. That is our first priority and main focus of this trip. Before Ranger Hall's death, we had raised $1,550 for Margaret Anderson. Every dollar donated after June 21st will be slit between the Anderson and Hall memorial funds. Mount Rainier reaches 14,410 feet. We are looking for you to sponsor 10 cents per foot for as many feet as you like. Our goal is $1,500 to be sponsored, roughly 14,410 feet. from Mahalo Video Added 203 1 0

Since time immemorial, countless numbers of elephant seals could be found breeding, molting, and rearing their pups on the western seashores of North America. Unfortunately, American whalers hunted them to near-extinction in the late 19th century. The recent resurgence of the elephant seal population at Point Reyes National Seashore and in the greater Pacific Ocean demonstrates the success of marine conservation laws and threatened species protections. Produced by the Pacific Coast Science and Learning Center located within Point Reyes National Seashore, California Directed, Edited and Shot by Mahalo Video Special Thanks to David Scheerer at Humboldt State University
