Shibuya crossing - the worlds busiest intersection. It kind of has to be documented one or way or another if you are living in Tokyo. Photographers litter the perimeter everyday, and literally millions of people are walking across this crossing everyday.

Music and Video © 2010 Paul Johannessen Shot this all on my mobile phone. I have no other video camera at the moment. I wanted to explore using the smaller images on a full HD canvas, which led me to build up the final landscape images. Don´t stare too hard, it may hurt your eyes:-) The other self imposed restriction was to keep it all to 1 minute. The train line is one of the many lines of the Tokyo train system, which all form a kind of parallel universe in Tokyo. Enjoy

This is a music video for the band Ribozyme from the west coast of Norway. For me, it is also another exploration of the tilt shift look. I wanted to see how much closer I could get to people and also try and get real people to appear as if they were animated. Ribozymes new album March of Crime is available now on CD, vinyl, and download. Artists: Ribozyme Song: One Day Worth Album: March of Crime Director/camera/editor: Paul Johannessen Camera: Catalina Lopez Shot in Bergen on the west coast of Norway, in june 2009. Recorded on a Panasonic HVX200 - in full HD using interval frame rate function. Edited and graded in final cut with some third party plugins.

A photo motion music video that I made to one of my own tunes. The tune is from my album Verses in Enigmatics and the video I made over a period of 4 months in 2006 whilst living and travelling on the west coast of Norway. Richard Dufty, a friend and motion graphics editor in London did the final grade in after effects.
