Experimental performance in sacred spaces. Second in series. Inspired in part by the following poem; I have a cage It's called the stage When I'm let out I run about And sing and dance and sweat and yell I have so many tales to tell I like to push things to the edge And inch my way along the ledge I feel like God, I feel like shit The paradox, an even split It's just a job, I always say I should be grateful everyday Sometimes I think I just can't do it But I persist and I get through it And I console myself each night At least my cage is filled with light. - Madonna+ More details

The Piano Studio presents the first movement of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 21 (known as "The Waldstein") performed by Steinway Artist Dr. Nicole Kim. This piece was recorded on the 9' Concert Grand Steinway Model D this spring (2013). "[Dr. Nicole Kim] had her orchestral debut at age 11 performing Mozart Concerto K488. After moving to the United States she studied with great piano teachers such as Robert Turner, Daniel Pollack, Eduardo Delgado, and Mac McCray ... As a winner of numerous competitions such as the Joanna Hodges International Piano competition, she has been concertizing in the states as well as abroad. Her interest in various kinds of music led her to appreciate and perform extensive repertoires. She has been an educator and adjudicator in both the U.S. as well as abroad." - http://lwmta.wsmta.net/board.html Piece: Piano Sonata No. 21 Op. 53, "The Waldstein" I.
