Kelsey Phinney comes from an athletically gifted family. Her father, Davis Phinney, is a professional cyclist who has raced in the Tour de France and is well known within the cycling community. Her mom, Connie Carpenter Phinney, rowed during her collegiate days and is also an accomplished cyclist. Both Davis and Connie are Olympic medalists in cycling. Kelsey's brother, Taylor, is following the pro cyclist route, as well. Growing up in Boulder, Colo., the Phinney family found recreation in cross country skiing. Today, Kelsey has turned that recreation into competition as part of the Middlebury Nordic ski team. Hear her story of growing up with a dad who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and what motivates Kelsey today.

I am a Self Taught chef and Food Book Author working with endurance athletes, mostly in the world of Pro Cycling. I work regularly with the top cyclists in the world as they get ready or are competing at major events including the Tour De France and the upcoming 2012 Olympics. I am 42, born in Kerala India, grew up racing bikes in CO starting when i was 15. At the same time started working in kitchens, making toast and washing dishes at a nursing home. I've had a few lives along the way, including a long span in construction while I cooked for free to help athletes and teams..before there was any money in it for me. My food is based on the idea of making the best possible food with very little time and resources. Fresh, colorful, healthy, nutrient dense and always Flavor is King ! Sometimes It's whole foods, sometimes its 7-11, but always the food has to get my athletes across the finish line first. which is why I'm putting butter onto a cookie for RedBull athlete Tim Johnson in the above pic !! the Guy in Red Singing is Taylor Phinney, Rising Star of US cycling, Multiple World Record Holder and Currently preparing for two events at London. thank you ! Just a short time-trial that no one should hesitate to call a prologue, and a few not-particularly well-controlled but never-the-less interesting sprints. Nice when they give you a rest day after a mere three stages, though I'm anxious for the race to get back to Italy for things like piano days, utterly inhuman finishing circuits and actual GC action.

It has taken nearly over a year to compile these time lapses of my city. It is a bit of a rarity to find the skies empty enough to really celebrate the beauty that seattle has to offer. I'm also so grateful for Andrew for his original composition that really drove the piece's theme for me. As for the technical information, all stills were shot on either a Canon T1i or 60D. I used either the Canon 18-55mm f3.5-5.6, Canon 50mm f1.8, Tamron 18-200mm f3.5-6.3, or Sigma 20 f1.8 lenses. Most were shot in RAW and the processed through Adobe Lightroom. Then the original video files were rendered in Adobe Photoshop CS4 but the piece itself was put together in Adobe Photoshop CS6 Beta. Please subscribe to my feed for more videos.
