This film was designed as more of an art piece. Instead of cutting with music, this was projected on a wall throughout the course of the night. We received a lot of positive reception and had fun shooting it... especially with a kit of Zeiss prime lenses! Cinematography: Adrian Dudziak & Mike Enns Editor: Adam Stephenson

This movie is part of an experimental artwork in shape of a black box, containing various personal preserved memories of the frightening catastrophe in reactor 4 of the Chernobyl-nuclear-powerplant. Thus this movie follows the rythm of the havoc after the explosion, focusing on the gathering of helpers, the liquidation of the radiating wreckage, and furthermore the manufacturing of the sarcophagus. With the intention to point out the incapability of controlling this desaster, the frightening helplessness of the people that are responsible and the sad fate of those, who gave their health and even lives in the end, the movie is set in an harsh, distorted and caleidoskopic style, with the radiation all shining through, no matter if it is seen or not - the invisible threat, that will pollute the earth for thousands of years. The "Voice Box" project claims that local environmental health issues are not solely a result of point source emissions, but a combination of political, economic and environmental issues, which combine to create overall inequalities in environmental health and morbidity. This project also rejects the “deficit model” of citizen participation, in which the public is assumed to be largely ignorant and in need of education regarding environmental and community health. It instead embraces community-based participatory research where the community is brought together to collect information, share stories and exchange local knowledge. Together the community can create a comprehensive body of local knowledge, public opinion and suggestions for solutions, which can be viewed by community members, decision makers and the world at large.
