We have been presented with a huge opportunity to renew an incredible space in a tourist attraction area with much needed soul to be injected into it. We have already started to pour our heart in refurbishing the space. The intention is to develop a creative and interactive hub specialising in workshops and continue retailing our handmade goods. This will be the hotspot for our customer base to return to purchase and recycle their Aacute candles (as well as bring in your own jars to salvage into your very own candle) and enjoy their own handmade jewellery in our unique workshops. We have had the pleasure of listening to feedback on the value and importance of handmade and would like to continue encouraging this experience. We can't do this on our own as already 90% of our income is put right back into maintaining Aacute for product quality and upkeep, this also applies to buying Australian supplies (strictly not imported products as we pride ourselves on keeping money flowing within Australia). So we're calling in a hand for a boost. This is an upward endeavour and we want to reach the apples at the top and award it to you. Not only this, we want to be that percentage that 'made it' without having to take out a loan or fall into the corporate culture or chain store. We want to encourage local businesses and to show everyone that you can start from the bottom and take big risks, because we believe in ourselves and that we have what it takes to get there. We want you to be part of our journey and be that story, we don't want to be a label that popped out of nowhere, we want you to be involved and be proud to say 'I got them there.'

We are a grass roots (pun intended!) Community Garden and Art space project in the green wedge of the suburban area of clarinda, on the fringe of residential estates, land fill sites and market gardens. We are a little refreshing oasis situated on the SUBUD Melbourne property. We want our project to demonstrate how an ecological system can become abundant, more productive and sustainable through growing crops organically, being responsible with our environment, living in a thriving, creative and proactive community, through using permaculture methods in actions. We are at the point where we desperately need to establish productive trees on the site including establishing a fruit orchard, planting native and indigenous trees species. In addition we need to conduct laboratory soil test to ensure that the our site isn't contaminated from neighbouring landfill sites. This will enable us implement our permaculture design plan, putting our project on the path to becoming a model of a sustainability in the south east suburbs of Melbourne. Passionate and committed volunteers have been essential in driving this project however we need to raise a small amount of funds to see through these key aspects of project. Although this project is just in the early stages, it has already been wonderful to witness how this project has already begun harvest friendships, community, talents, local sharing and learning, not mention harvesting lots of fresh yummy home grown food....

Advance Australian Film is an exciting, informative investigation into the Australian film industry. Independent filmmaker Courtney Dawson takes the viewer on an exploratory journey that chronicles the development and inner-workings of Australian cinema. It’s been 21 years since an Australian film has reached number one at the box office, and our films have consistently grossed under 5% of annual revenues for over a decade. Through in-depth discussions with key industry figures and a careful analysis of Australia’s past successes, Advance Australian Film ultimately seeks solutions for a brighter future. The documentary also examines the changes occurring across the world, with crowd-funding, social media marketing and alternative distribution models empowering filmmakers like never before and changing the way movies are being produced and accessed. Featuring some fascinating interviews with David Stratton, Emile Sherman, Kriv Stenders among others, as well as red carpet interviews with Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Baz Luhrmann, Joel Edgerton, Wayne Blair and Richard Roxburgh. Let's support, celebrate and Advance Australian Film. Join the conversation www.facebook.com/advanceaustralianfilm and following us on @advanceausfilm
