Heart of the Everglades began as a way to change the reputation of the Everglades as a scary place full of mosquitoes and alligators to a place of great beauty filled with magnificent wading birds, glorious flowers, gorgeous sunrises, sunsets, and landscapes. We wanted to go deep into the Everglades to examine its cycle of life from mating, nesting, nurturing babies, hunting, and surviving. In so doing we discovered that the Everglades is responsible for the drinking water of one in three Floridians. Without the Everglades, South Florida could not exist. We want people to visit, to see, to experience, and to fall in love with the Everglades.
